Quel bonheur de prendre le petit déj face à l'océan, plage privée magnifique avec vue sur le Morne. Le buffet du soir excellent ou nous avons pu decouvrir les plats locaux, merci au chef😁 c'était délicieux. Pour finir mention spéciale pour le personnel qui a été très attentionné tout au long de notre séjour. Pour nous le meilleur hôtel du sud ouest.

It’s a good, quiet hotel, it has its own beach, a restaurant with a view of Mount Le Morne, the food is decent, there’s enough breakfast and dinner, there’s parking, the rooms are cleaned regularly, there’s a cat family with 3 kittens living on the premises. booking with a MIR card is no problem, for the money it’s a pretty decent option, if you have a car, the location is very convenient for traveling to the main attractions and tours

If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you. A small and cozy hotel surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is ordinary, you won’t go hungry, alcohol and water are paid, order from the menu. Beach towels are available for a fee.
There are no cafes or restaurants near the hotels, no shops, 10 minutes walk from the main road. The location will be convenient if you plan to see the sights of the southern or western part of the island.

We love staying at La Mariposa. The location is perfect for us, close to our family, and we love the east coast sunsets. This resort is smaller than some that we have stayed at, which means the service is more personal. This also means that Beach and pool access is easy from any of their rooms. We have enjoyed the sea view rooms, as well as the family rooms with garden/pool view, that also have a small kitchen, great for families.

Séjour très agréable, calme, idéal pour couple. Personnel efficace, équipe d’une très grande gentillesse. Restauration satisfaisante. Chambre très agréable avec vue sur sur Le Morne. Véhicule recommandé pour excursion et pour bouger un peu. Idéalement placé pour tous types activités. Nous avons adoré.

My fiancé and I decided to have a date night and made a reservation for dinner at Mariposa. We were informed that it was a buffet and were really looking forward to it. We started with a bottle of wine and later went to the buffet once it opened. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The food display was unappealing, the staff were disorganized, and no one seemed to know what was going on. The food itself was tasteless, overcooked, and offered absolutely no value for what we paid. The desserts were inedible—either too dry or with an unpleasant, soapy taste (not an exaggeration). We honestly would have been better off dining at another hotel down the road, where we would have received far better food and service. When I tried to report our concerns at reception, I was met with yet another unhelpful staff member. We will never return, nor would we ever recommend this place to anyone. Gravely disappointed. One positive thing I can comment on is that the setting/ view is beautiful!

This is the worst place we ever stayed. Having a huge argument with the waiter / manager about whether we signed the bill for two glasses of wine, when we did and he eventually agreed, was a cherry on top. We did not choose this establishment and hope nobody else needs to survive one night like we have to.

Overall good but reception poor.
Overall the experience was good. We had an ocean view and the outlook was beautiful. The breakfast service was brilliant, and whilst the choice was not huge, the eggs were to die for. My biggest constructive feedback is the lack of reception from the front desk each time we entered and exited the building, a smile m, warm welcome or hello goes a long way. Furthermore, we did ask for a 12 check out in lieu of 11 and were met with a flat no as told room service needed to do the room, no one made the room up before 12 as we waited by the pool. We were not suprised with this response from the sour face that was the receptionist. Probably my first negative review in a long time so I hope the issue is addressed for future reference.
