Riu Turquoise - All Inclusive

I think this hotel has the best view when it comes to the view of the lagoon and the fun activities you can watch close by. Service was great, food was amazing!

Just up to the mark! It surpassed my expectations: cosy rooms, tasty food, friendly staff, great aqua gym, to say nothing of the breathtaking landscape!

It was awesome staying there but there was a hiccup at one point, we booked the place to have access to the sauna and jacuzzi and it was closed during our stay without notification, so instead we decided to have a warm bath but the water from the bath was yellowish.. that said.. they changed us rooms, also gave us a bottle of champagne and a free 50mins massage session.. in all though, it was a nice place, the food was awesome and lovely atmosphere!

This was our second trip to Mauritius and our second stay in Riu (though the trip and stay are not related. Mauritius is a paradise of clean sea, beautiful weather (even when it rains) and fantastic landscapes and people. I recommend it thoroughly, but stay out of the market its just a tourist trap. The Riu Turquoise was beautiful, staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel, bars, garden areas and dining spaces were incredibly clean. The site itself is incredible - when you google images of Mauritius, in fact that's where YOU are. The stuff of adverts. The reef is superb, and I took my daughter for a Dive at the hotel dive centre which was great and staffed by a very friendly and helpful team. As I get older, my tolerance for other people however declined and, with no negative comment on the hotel, I found myself struggling with the presence of other guests. Largely - I put this down to the fact that last time with Riu I stayed in the Palace side in the Maldives - Adults only, less dense, older people. If you can - stay in the Palace. The room itself was spacious and cleaned every day. We had a minor issue with the finish in the hotel room, tiling looked like it was rushed and could have been a bit better. The walls were a little thin and it was possible to hear conversations in the next room. The balcony was very welcome and all rooms had airconditioning that not only keeps you cool, but helps to dry things too. As a family we all enjoyed the holiday, the hotel, the food, the staff, the beach and the sea. It is WINDY ! .
