Nice Hotel, clean and very good breakfast. Located in the venter of Matosinhos, but only a short walk to the beach and other sights. Metro to Porto stops in front of the hotel.

Location is a bit far from centre , but due to Meteo just in front of the hotel , it saves the time walk from the metro to the hotel ( normally at least take 20 minutes) The breakfast is very nice, has everything you want , lots of cheese , ham , eggs, veggies, breads , cereals , fresh and canned fruits , packed cakes and crackers , fresh cakes and croissants, etc ……… The coffee is excellent and wine too for breakfast!!!!!

Very nice hotel. The location is also good. Line 500 goes directly from the old town. Enjoy the sea view all the way.

As I posted on another website "It was a very comfortable, quiet, one night stay with a generous sized room and views at the back of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated having two pillows each. The bathroom was compact with a shower over a bath tub which was a great option after a day of long distance walking while on the Portugese Camino. There was plenty of room to store luggage, good size wardrobe with safe and mini-bar frig. The breakfast buffet was the highlight of the stay with a great variety of food to be attempted by." The breakfast buffet consisted of cereals, yoghurt, juices, bread, pastries, fruit, crepes, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon, cold cuts, cheeses and salad, tea/coffee/milk, there even was a bottle of Cava! On the afternoon of our arrival after a delicious lunch at a local bar we had a quick rest before heading out to discover the neighbourhood, returning with a few supplies from the local supermarket for a hotel evening picnic. Reception staff fulfilled their role but nothing special to mention. One thing that the hotel could improve on is acquiring a stamp to provide pilgrims walking the Camino the reward they are looking for at the end/start of their day.

Hotel was basic but clean. Bed was comfy. Staff were great friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard basic continental fare. There was construction going on close by but we stayed over the weekend so it wasn’t an issue. Tram stops right outside the hotel, perfect for travelling into the city and surrounding areas.

The staff was really nice. The location it’s perfect because it has a lot of things close, it has a Burger King next to the hotel, a supermarket very well known in Portugal in front of the hotel (pingo doce), a mc donald’s and another supermarket like 4 mins away by walking, also the Norte Shopping 20-30 mins away by walking and you’re 10 mins away from the Porto Airport by car! The bed was comfortable and big, they put towel robes, towels and ofc the soap.

A well situated hotel on a traffic circle, with a very large dirt parking lot on the next street, just past the Burger King. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast very varied, in small servings. The bathrooms are old fashioned and the stock of towels reduced to a minimum. The staff is not very experienced - when guests arrive at 2:30 am they let them have loud conversations in the lobby, that wakes up people sleeping on the 2nd floor, and even worse, they put them in rooms adjoining those already occupied. The hotel has 9 floors and was almost empty, but they don't even have the attention to install these customers on another floor or at least leave a break room, so we only went back to sleep after 3 am. The walls are thin and the conversation could be heard perfectly. Another sample of inexperience: the receptionist who went to see why our TV had "no signal" suggested that the maintenance could deal with the problem (a broken cable) the next day, and looked like he had heard a bright idea when I suggested he go to an unoccupied room to get an identical cable, which he happily did.

Booked for a week long stay in this hotel, & was disappointed on arrival. Receptionist was rude, the room was completely visible from the street with no privacy curtains, so we could either keep the blackout curtains completely closed or have absolutely no privacy from a very busy intersection. Also, the toilet seat, bathroom door & air conditioning were all broken or faulty. We didn’t make a fuss because we were planning to spend our days out & at the beach, which is 10 min walk away. But we then had a family emergency back home & had to cut our trip short, & rearrange our flights urgently. We asked about getting a partial refund for the days we couldn’t stay, offering to pay a cancellation fee, as we were trying to pay for last minute flights home. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude & dismissive. He not only refused to help, but told us to “go away” for a few hours, saying he would call management but refused to do so on the spot, for no reason. We told him we were in a hurry trying to arrange flights home & he simply shrugged, annoyed. He didn’t try to call anyone or suggest he couldn’t at that time, he was simply refusing to & told us to go away for a few hours, when we were trying to make urgent arrangements. I called Urban Hotel offices seven times with no response, emailed about the situation & got no assistance, no refund, no credit, no basic help. An utterly subpar hotel, but the lack of politeness, basic respect & compassion was appalling. Would advise against staying here.

Staff do not speak English and are often anti paric. Breakfast 4 out of 10. There is construction work going on right next to the hotel. Hotel well located near tram and bus stops. Rooms old but clean. Staff who clean are helpful though. No bar in the evening to have a drink.

Excellent hotel, very spacious and extremely clean rooms. Very attentive staff. The only drawback was that we were on the 9th floor and there was a noise that sounded like doors slamming, it was a deafening noise. The receptionist even went to the room and could hear it. But they were unable to do anything, because the noise must have been external to the hotel, but it is very important that they try to resolve it because it is very unpleasant.

We were there for the Porto Marathon 2022. The location was strategic for participation in the race. The proximity to the metro stop allowed us to reach the center of Porto quite easily. Excellent value for money

Bad experience at this hotel. Room apparently good but... huge window overlooking the street, facing the sun on a very hot April day, air conditioning didn't work which seems to be a normal situation. When we got it to work it was just a fan. TV broken and without remote control. The command ended up appearing only to confirm that signal reception was almost non-existent. To top it off, when we returned after dinner, around 11pm, there was no hot water. We waited around 1 hour for the problem to be resolved. Polite but unprofessional staff. Responsible for the establishment, on the phone, aggressive and arrogant. No notion of customer attention. Good breakfast for the hotel category. 3 stars don't have to be synonymous with bad service!
