A beautiful unique hotel situated in a picturesque hillside in a historic village. If you stay here be prepared to walk on cobblestones up and down the hillside. This is not a place for someone who has mobility issues. The views from the patio are spectacular. The room we stayed in was part of an original cave. Unique for sure but damp with a musty smell. The bed, although cozy, was damp and cold at first. The room had a little kitchenette which was great to make morning coffee (coffee grounds provided - thank you). Amenities were good. Very clean. Some of the furniture needs updated and is showing wear. Very historic and an interesting stay. Be aware that there is no parking near the hotel, but they were nice enough to drive us to our car to collect our luggage. There are several great restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Close to the Matera caves (ancient cave dwellings) and other historic sites. I recommend this hotel if you want something unusual and out of the ordinary (just be prepared for the dampness - which is understandable if you are sleeping in a cave).

Parking payant à 2km de l'hôtel. Chaleur humide dans la chambre avec impossibilité de compenser soit par aeration soit par climatisation. L'hôtel est bien situé dans Matera

Fue la peor experiencia que hemos tenido, llegar Al sitio reservado, luego de muchas hora de manejo y encontrarse con el sitio cerrado sin alguien que lo reciba y atienda. A las 8:00 pm tuvimos que pasar por la terrible necesidad de buscar un sitio donde hospedarnos u caminar una larga distancia para llegar ahí. Al día siguiente lejos de disculparse cuestionaron nuestra llegada.

What an absolute dream stay! The apartment was so unique and quaint and charming! Federico was the kindest host! He was friendly, professional, helpful, and genuine. The room was SO quaint! Spacious. Plenty of amenities. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning was sufficient. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and more than ample. I would absolutely stay at this residence again!

Hôtel Rapport qualité/ prix médiocre
Pas de parking alors que sur le site, il était noté parking gratuit.Nous avons dû faire 1.3 kms à pied pour trouver un parking payant, 5€/jour.
Le petit déjeuner était très décevant: tartine de pain sèche, beaucoup de pâtisseries de qualité médiocre.

A fabulous stay in Sassi
This is a unique and fantastic hotel. The location is perfect, the staff is exceptional, the room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing. We felt welcomed and right at home. We highly recommend staying here to enjoy the hospitality and to experience history.
