A unique hotel with great views over matera. Our Room built into the cave but still very good with all modern conveniences. Excellent breakfast options and well stocked. The hotel is very well located near the main squares. Many good restaurants are nearby. the sun terrace was most enjoyable. Overall excellent.

L'hotel si trova nella zona del Sasso Barisano ed è comodissimo per girare la città a piedi oltre ad avere un panorama mozzafiato sulla città. La stanza che avevamo era molto spaziosa con un angolino carino con scrittoio e finestrella panoramica. Sembra di dormire in una grotta, peccato che il sistema di riscaldamento, essendo centralizzato, non era regolabile e di notte la stanza era caldissima pur avendo l'impianto spento. Colazione molto varia con un'ampia scelta di prodotti dolci e salati, personale disponibile. Anche se c'è un frigorifero con varie bevande suggerirei di lasciare un omaggio in stanza, magari all'arrivo, come segno di ospitalità anche una bottiglietta d'acqua o semplici taralli vista la zona. Consigliato!

Hotel diffuso nel Sasso Barisano, molto bello, camera calda e molto grande. La stanza ricorda molto i Sassi e sembra di trovarsi nel passato affascinante e interessante. Colazione abbondante e varia, sia dolce che salata. Personale disponibile e gentile.

Hôtel très agréable avec une vue magnifique sur Sasso.
Pas facile d'y arriver surtout avec une grosse valise, mais c'est le prix à payer pour profiter de cette très belle situation, surtout la nuit!
Le personnel est d'une extrême gentillesse.

Interesting experience
Interesting to stay in one of the "cave" rooms. It's a bit of a trek to reach on foot (only option) but worth it. Our room was cramped because if the configuration but had good view from two small windows and external terrace. Hearty breakfast. Helpful staff. Not great value for money. You pay for the experience.

If you’re looking to stay in the heart of the Historic Center, this is your place. Be prepared to walk over rocky roads and go up and down the road stairs, which is not bad if you want to exercise a little bit while vacationing. Room was a little too small for my taste but very clean and comfortable. View from my room window was incredible! Hotel doesn’t offer parking (paid or free). You need to find a paid parking spot on the nearby streets (around $10 Euros for 10 hours). Breakfast was good.

You couldn't ask for a better view from the hotel. Staying in a cave was pretty unique but the humidity led to a mildew smell and the sheets felt wet. The staff were not friendly but did their job’s perfunctory. More information about where to park would be very helpful as there is none nearby since the hotel is in a restricted driving area.
