Abbiamo soggiornato a capodanno. La nostra camera era situata sul punto più alto dell'albergo ma vicina al ristorante, più scale da percorrere ma la vista panoramica appaga lo sforzo. La colazione è ricca di prodotti locali e di ottima qualità. Staff accogliente. Buono anche il servizio di parcheggio convenzionato. Speriamo di tornare presto. Matera è mozzafiato.

Al nostro arrivo eravamo increduli dello scenario in cui ci si ritrova non appena arrivati al Sant’Angelo. Abbiamo scoperto solo successivamente di trovarci proprio nel cuore del centro storico. L’albergo è a ridosso del canyon gravina, di fronte le grotte del parco della Murgia e la Chiesa di San Pietro Caveoso. La camera è stata ricavata in un’antica dimora storica, anche se in grotta, era molto ampia. Abbiamo molto apprezzato anche lo spazio esterno (antico patio del vicinato). Colazione prelibata e staff attento.

Il Sant’Angelo è situato nell’incantevole location di Piazza San Pietro Caveoso, la zona più centrale dei Sassi e strategica per raggiungere qualsiasi attrazione. La colazione nel ristorante Regiacorte dell’hotel è una delle migliori mai provate! Ci siamo sentiti ben accolti e seguiti durante tutto il soggiorno. È un albergo diffuso ricavato in antiche dimore storiche, quindi, le camere si raggiungono solo attraverso le caratteristiche scalinate dei Sassi, ma una volta arrivati in camera, ci si sente in un altro mondo, perché l’area dell’hotel è limitata e non esposta al traffico della strada. Ritorneremo in estate!

È un albergo diffuso, la nostra stanza, di tipologia palaziata, è molto curata, personale disponibile e molto gentile. Dalla stanza un panorama fantastico sul sasso Caveoso, anche la colazione è ottima. Secondo me questa zona è da preferire rispetto alla parte alta, probabilmente più comoda perché ci si arriva anche in auto, ma si perde molto non risiedendo direttamente nei sassi. L’albergo poi è organizzato con una navetta a pagamento per i trasferimenti nella zona transitabile dalle auto

Since the area of the hotel is on no parking zone I contacted the hotel on ******* regarding nearby parkings but they never replied. The hotel’s email address was down so I got no help with parking. The room was very dusty and full of mosquitoes. The bathroom has a glass door which was uncomfortable. The restaurant’s menu was very limited with mostly burger and club sandwiches. Unfortunately the pizza wasn’t good either. The buffet breakfast was good and the restaurant staff was very friendly and kind. The property has many stairs so keep that in mind if you have any kind of knee injuries.

Hotel lindo mas pouco prático (como toda a cidade)
Ficamos apenas um dia/noite. Hotel é lindíssimo, o atendimento é excepcional. Só duas coisas importantes, não tem ar condicionado nos quartos (então se pegar dia quente passa calor - foi o meu caso) e a cidade só tem escada, pra ir pro quarto são muitas escadas, então vá com pouca bagagem.

Staying in the Sassi
This is a property in the Sasso Caveoso in Matera, the most incredible and one of the most ancient places on earth. The views of the Sassi and the caves are incredible and the room carved in the rock was spacious and comfortable. I would have added a TV close to the bed and a second sink in the bathroom but altogether the place is great. Very good service ans evryone is superfriendly and helpful. Also great the breakfastr buffet
