Non è un albergo ma una casa che ti accoglie con eleganza raffinata. L’accoglienza è uno dei punti forti per gentilezza e professionalità. Tutto lo staff , colazione e pulizie hanno una marcia in più. La struttura è un palazzo storico meravigliosamente restaurato prediligendo la bellezza dei volumi, delle volte affrescate della storia che si percorre nell’’infilata di saloni con quadri e mobili di pregio. Non si trova qui la banalità del lusso ma la ricerca di una eleganza costante che include ricerca dei materiali e desiderio di conservare la storia del luogo. Da consigliare assolutamente .

Great location with wonderful views The hotel is very much in need of updating to make it more user friendly. It is an absolutely gorgeous building We had a junior suite which was basically a big room with a settee in it. There was only electric points to one wall so there was battery bedside lamps, mine never worked. The bathroom was large with an over bath shower, the water was only just warm, when I asked about it I was told it was a requirement to have it temperature controlled, this was my 7th hotel in Italy and all the others managed to have hot water! The towels were thin and just adequate Breakfast was with terrific views but was at small tables with uncomfortable chairs, little choice and our worst breakfast of all the places we have stayed. On check in we were advised to use the rooftop bar for drinks with fabulous evening views of Matera only to find it closed for the whole time of our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful The car park is very difficult to get to and includes driving through heavily pedestrianised tourist areas, with narrow roads and a tight turn of palazzo duomo

Hotel di grande valore storico, situato a pochi passi dal Duomo, con la comodità di un parcheggio interno a pagamento (un'opportunità unica per raggiungere il Duomo in auto). Il personale si è dimostrato cortese e professionale, risolvendo prontamente un inconveniente con l'aria condizionata. Abbiamo soggiornato in una suite al primo piano, situata strategicamente di fronte alla sala colazioni. Le immagini direi che parlino da se. Posizione privilegiata, colazione di qualità e una terrazza con vista mozzafiato. Consigliato senza riserve.

En vacances en couple pour visiter les Pouilles. Nous avons décidé de quitter la région pour visiter la ville de MATERA! Bien nous en a pris, une ville extraordinaire où l’on traverse les siècles! Nous avons alors séjourné dans cet hôtel. Superbe établissement, Emplacement au top. Personnel très sympathique, sympathique et avenant. Je recommande chaudement cet établissement très bien placé dans le centre, avec chambre vue panoramique. N’hésitez pas

Excellent location. Excellent and very helpful staff. I would have hope that the roof terrace had a bar with happy hour to enjoy the view of the marvelous city. Very good breakfast Parking was a plus.

What a splendid Renaissance palazzo, renovated to the highest standards! We spent 2 nights here - great location (we didn’t have a car be sure to get directions if you do) and the staff were extremely helpful. Lovely breakfast, quick turnaround on laundry and our room had a beautiful view of Matera.

Very unique to be staying in an ancient cave dwelling. Modern appointments were very comfortable. The space was large and luxurious.
I would not recommend getting a room here with a jacuzzi. The water made to room very humid. The tub water was not hot enough to enjoy. The circulation system was noisy and could not be turned off - it was on a timer. The tub and water smelled bad. Instead choose a room without a pool or a jacuzzi tub. Soaker tubs are much nicer.
