Sorpresi nell’essere accolti nel B&B “Piano Piano” in una vera e propria visita guidata dal geologo Giuseppe Locoratolo che con entusiasmo ha esternato il suo percorso minuzioso nel recupero degli ambienti nel Sasso Barisano e la storia di Matera che vive da 8 mila anni città tra le più antiche del mondo a partire dal paleolitico per questo motivo nel 2019 è stata designata Capitale Europea della Cultura. La chicca del B&B è la grande cisterna sotterranea che con il suono di una goccia d’acqua fa eco in tutto l’ambiente con la sua particolare “spiaggetta”. In questo luogo si effettuano incontri culturali. Il B&B è situato nella via principale a poca distanza da piazza Vittorio Veneto dove è situato “Il Palombaro lungo”, quindi la macchina può essere parcheggiata non a troppa distanza.

Stay longer if possible, such a beautiful place.
We were quite shocked in a good way when we checked in. The condition, facility and decor were so beautiful. I would call it luxury apartment. Probably this is the first apartment I stayed in Italy which was not ruined by cheap plastic IKEA furniture. Room was spacious, the bathroom was also big. Every single details was well designed and thoughtful.
The host also gave us a little tour of cave underneath and it was quite fascinating. We wanted to stay longer… the location was also great. It’s not middle of stairs so it was so easy to carry our suitcases. (You can’t drag the trolley in Matera)

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans ce magnifique établissement, situé au cœur du centre historique piétonnier de Matera. De là, tout se fait facilement à pied. Il s’agit d’une grande chambre, avec toutes les commodités. Le seul inconvénient est la salle de bains qui n’est pas sur le même étage que la chambre, mais ce n’est pas si grave si l’on n’est pas à mobilité réduite. La réception est à l’intérieur d’un sassi, et il y a même une ancienne citerne que le propriétaire se fera un plaisir de vous faire visiter. Celui-ci a pris beaucoup de son temps pour nous parler de l’histoire de Matera, de l’immeuble et de tout ce qu’il y a à visiter, en plus de ses recommandations personnelles (restaurants, etc.). Nous avons été charmés par cet accueil chaleureux. Tout cela à prix très raisonnable pour le centre historique de Matera. Une excellente adresse, à recommander sans hésiter. Merci pour tout!

Empfang gab es aus familiären Gründen keinen. Wir haben unseren Schlüssel über ein Zimmer Code erhalten. Das war sehr schön, etwas dunkel, aber ganz zentral, sehr ruhig. Das einchecken war dann am Abend vor der Abreise. Das war aber sehr nett, weil wir eine private Führung durch die alten Gemäuer und die eigene Zisterne erhalten haben. Nebensaison, fast 200 € für eine acht, ist v zu teuer. Zu mal noch nicht einmal ein Frühstück inbegriffen ist.

La stanza era eccellente e ristrutturata in maniera originale. Il contesto magnifico. Una bellissima pianta di melograno proprio fuori dal portone e le famose scalinate materane a perdita d'occhio. La cosa più interessante è stata sicuramente la chiacchierata col titolare geologo e la visita alla cisterna della casa grotta proprio sotto la nostra stanza. Consigliatissimo

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questa splendida struttura. Ci ha accolti il proprietario che ci ha ammaliati con la spiegazione e la storia del B&B e di Matera; ci ha fatto visitare tutta la struttura compresa la loro punta di diamante, la cisterna sotterranea. Il B&B si trova in una posizione molto favorevole, raggiungibile a piedi, in 15min dalla stazione dei treni e dei bus che arrivano dall’aeroporto di Bari. Considerate però qualche scalino (che è comunque da metter in conto sempre se si soggiorna nei sassi). Ci avrebbe fatto piacere far colazione nel B&B ma il servizio non è previsto, peccato! La stanza è enorme, per due persone é assolutamente sovradimensionata. É arredata con cura così come la reception che presenta una chicca tutta da scoprire (vi lascio con un po’ di curiosità ;-)). Considero la struttura di assoluto valore! Bravi!
