This is probably the best hotel in Matera based on what we read before traveling. The service is exceptional , very helpful and friendly staff. The room is spacious, very clean and cozy. We had a small balcony with a very nice room. The restaurant that was recommended to us was also amazing. Highly recommend!

A stay of a life time. A cave??? Really?? No lions, no Bears just an amazing suite to call home for 24 hours. The lighting in the room is exceptional, very welcoming and warm. The beds comfortable. Breakfast was "ok"...maybe I showed up too late!. When I walked into the lobby of this hotel, tears came to my eyes for its beauty. Then we were taken to our room and were astounded by its beauty. Definitely worth a stay

Stayed for 1 night with my wife in May. Never stayed in a cave, but it was different but in a good way.plenty of space in the room and very tastefully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and you have free wine when signing in. A couple of points that surprised me If you want to make a coffee, you pay 2.5 euros per pod, not even a bottle of water ?unless you paid) plus small shower gels in the room. 2☆ vibes going on, which was a shame

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado en el Sasso Barisano de Matera y de facil acceso en auto, si bien no pueden ingresar autos particulares si llegan los taxis. En las cercanias hay muchos y buenos bares y restaurantes. La habitacion que nos dieron era muy linda, tal cual la que muestran en su web. La atención del personal es excelente. Lo unico que deberian mejorar es que tengan a alquien que te ayude con el equipaje, no tienen personal disponible para eso con lo cual estas obligado a llegar desde donde te deja el taxi hasta el hotel acarreando tu equipaje (otros hotels similares en Matera tienen personal que te asiste con el equipaje) y hay que subir una escalera de unos 15 mts de largo y algo empinada y luego también desde la recepción a tu habitación te debes llevar vos las valijas.. El desayuno se sirve en un salon con onda de cueva y es bastante bueno.

Fue una gran experiencia, hermoso lugar y muy bien ubicado. Lo recomiendo. Muy bueno tambien el restaurant. Quiero felicitar al personal y sobre todo la aencion de Irene en la recepcion que nos ayudó de una manera muy eficiente y calida. Gracias!

El hotel es maravilloso, está en un pueblo maravilloso y la gente que lleva el hotel son maravillosos. Antonio e Irene que fueron los que estaban en recepción, nos trataron de maravilla y nos aconsejaron muy bien del que visitar y que hacer. La habitación es preciosa y está dentro de una cueva original. Donde desayunas es una estancia muy bonita y original.

Une belle adresse pour passer une nuit insolite dans un établissement troglodyte de Matera. Un accueil et un service parfait ! Un personnel agréable, souriant et disponible. Un emplacement de premier choix dans Matera avec une vue superbe sur une partie de la ville. Une terrasse panoramique pour profiter de cette vue exceptionnelle ! Une chambre relativement grande, propre et calme avec tout le confort d’un hôtel de cette catégorie. Seul bémol à mentionner, la salle de bain totalement ouverte qui ne permet pas d’avoir d’intimité ni même pour les toilettes. Dommage car la configuration permettrait de cloisonner très facilement cet espace et apporterait un confort supplémentaire. Le petit déjeuner est parfait. Peu de produits mais de qualité et une fois de plus un personnel très professionnel !
