Hiriketiya Click

This guest house is located approximately 10 minutes away from the awesome Hiriketiya Beach. That is the reason why we chose this place. They serve a very tasty breakfast, they ordered the food from some other place for us and we were not disappointed. The food was really good. The staff was friendly & ready to help. Having said all the above the bedrooms & bathrooms were absolutely filthy, with the toilet wreaking with the smell of urine. The dustbins still had the dental floss that the previous guest had disposed off. The rooms were so dirty & dusty that we decided to clean it ourselves. It’s a nice place but very badly maintained with stray dogs all over wanting to nibble on whatever remnants we dispose of. A tip is when visiting here, carry your own supply of toilet paper, soap & toilet detergent! (Maybe a broom & a toilet bowl cleaner too)

We spent 3 nights at Click. It Is ideally located, with a big room and a nice patio to relax. Bathroom Is also big, with hot water and a separate shower, which Is a real treat since in Sri Lanka most bathrooms do not have a shower curtain. Common Kitchen and fridge are filthy. Big issue Is that pur materass had a COLONY OF BEDBUGS! The First morning i thought i had been beaten by mosquitos, the second day i got even more bites, extremely hitchy, huge and Red, and that's when i realized they were budbugs. I told the managent. The staff initially insisted they were mosquito bites (no way they were!), then finally sprayed something on the bed and changed the bedsheets; we also sprayed permetrin all over twice, but that didn't fix the issue. By the third day, when we left, i could count 63 BEDBUGS BITES ALL OVER MY BODY, though i am sure there are many more i could not count. Asked for discount, but manager simply disapperead and ignored my messages and calls. STAY AWAY if you do not want to get your holiday (and skin) ruined by bedbugs' bites.
