The front desk service is warm and the hotel facilities are old. The hot water faucet is a bit out of order,

We had the pleasure of staying at Riad Jibril during our visit to Marrakech, and what a delightful experience it was! Our host, Iheb, truly deserves the title of a legend. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, he made our stay memorable. Whilr it may not be a 5-star hotel, it provided a unique and authentic Moroccan experience that exceeded our expectations. The riad itself, with its traditional architecture, was clean and inviting. The highlight was undoubtedly the serene terrace, a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the medina. One evening, we indulged in sheesha on the terrace, a delightful experience that only cost us around 70 MAD. We also had the pleasure of dining on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious tagines at a very reasonable price of 60 MAD each. The chef's culinary skills were truly impressive. The breakfast served each morning was traditional and homely too! What made our stay truly special was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Iheb and the staff. We arrived as guests but left feeling like friends. We were even befriended by the two adorable resident kittens, Sofia, the long-haired tabby, and Leena, the ginger kitten. Their presence added an extra touch of charm to our stay. The location of Riad Jibril was perfect, and the camel in front of the money exchange served as an excellent landmark. The riad was on the opposite alleyway, second door, making it easy to find. We especially enjoyed its proximity to Kasbah, near Zeitun Cafe, a favorite spot of ours to visit at night. The lantern-lit terrace at the cafe provided majestic views that made our evenings even more memorable.

Recently went with my friends for a graduation celebration, we are all girls so we wanted something private and this villa was perfect for that, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and the food made by the chef was excellent, the villa was so clean given that it’s massive, honestly had the best time here, wouldn’t listen to the bad reviews I was told the villa is under new management and everything has been renewed. I would honestly give it 5* also loved the Moroccan style decor which have an authentic Moroccan experience.

French below: Hotel Safia in Marrakesh presents a disappointing experience for its guests. Despite booking for six nights, we cut our stay short due to numerous issues. The room, facing a busy street, had a broken window that wouldn't close, allowing traffic noise to invade our space. Earplugs became a necessity. Our request for a fix resulted in an offer for a smaller room, as our friend had to chance hotel due to lack of sleep, and the new room had the same problem. Now one friend and smaller room later and only then, a makeshift repair was made, but only after we were downgraded and had endured three sleepless nights. Communication was another hurdle, as the reception staff struggled with English and showed little concern for resolving our problems. Furthermore, the much-touted pool was a letdown. Despite the warm weather, the pool was ice-cold, with the room shaded from the sun, possibly even artificially cooled, making it unusable for relaxation. In summary, Hotel Safia fails to deliver a comfortable or enjoyable stay, with significant shortcomings in accommodation quality and customer service. A hostel might offer a better experience than this establishment.
