Classic style hotel of some age, renovated. Excellent location. First of all, I would like to highlight the very good disposition of the hotel staff. From my point of view, and at all times, they were cordial and polite. The breakfast was very complete, both sweet and savoury, in the lounge on the 7th floor. Although it did not happen to me, I have read in other experiences that, sometimes, that lounge is full. Regarding the room (5th floor), I will try to be objective: I found it excellent in terms of lighting, view (facing the square), and space, but a little noisy, perhaps because of its location, so you can hear a lot of the noise of construction machinery, and some shouting from arguments in the street during the early hours. The wooden blinds, I think they have already earned their retirement... PVC or aluminium would be an interesting option. As for cleanliness, I think that attention should be paid to some spider webs that were there. What caught my attention the most was the amount of material (plaster dust/sand) that was on the shelf on which the safe rests. I was surprised that it is not walled in, so I took the opportunity to take it down, and I noticed that the top of it needed some cleaning, as well as the wood that serves as a shelf. Since it was Sunday afternoon/evening, it seemed inappropriate to go to the concierge to ask if I could use a vacuum cleaner (laughs), so I decided to deal with the issue myself with the resources I had at that time. I think I achieved a very good result, and the difference was noticeable. Regarding the bathroom, it is refinished with porcelain, and I think it turned out very well, but there is one detail inherent to safety: the porcelain floor of the bathtub turned out very nice, and it may be more practical for cleaning, but it could be dangerous for someone with soapy feet. Also, the view through the window should be noted, since it can be seen from the building opposite, on San Martín, which requires raising and lowering the blinds, respectively, to ventilate and to reduce the view. The parquet floor would have had a very nice finish at the beginning, although it seems to me that it is a little "bad" now, due to the time that has passed. It would also be nice if the windows had mosquito nets. That would not only prevent mosquitoes from entering, but also objects from falling outside. On the other hand, I understand that they were, or are undergoing renovations. The thing is that I often use the stairs, and I noticed that the railing of the stairs would need cleaning. Finally, I wonder if the detachment of material inside the closet was due to a possible problem of moisture filtration. It would be good to look into that issue. Despite everything stated, I would like to emphasize again the good treatment and attention of the staff. Until next time, and thank you. Carlos
