The service is extremely friendly and strives to please the customer, from reception to other areas (swimming pool, gardens, bar, restaurant, etc.). As for the rooms, if you have the opportunity, stay in a room with a sea view. They are spacious, with large balconies and have all the amenities that allow for a comfortable stay. Impeccably clean, good mattress, pillows, bathrobes and perfectly working minibar. The decoration of the rooms, as indeed of the entire hotel, is very pleasant, however, care must be taken not to neglect its modernization/maintenance with regard to small details (walls, shower glass, wood, etc.) . The breakfast is one of the most complete and quality (both in terms of offering, products and service) that we have experienced in Africa and, even, compared to many 5* European hotels. Good location within the city of Maputo, the hotel restaurant has a good menu, and there are several restaurants in the area with very good options.

A lovely hotel with great facilities.. We stayed there for 7 nights and all the nights were a pleasure.. Walking distance to a shopping mall and lots of great food places.. They even prepped our room for a surprise birthday at no extra cost.. The hotel is well managed and if you really want a good deal or any extra help Kripa is the go to man.. He will assist you with anything and everything..

Let me begin with the downs, as there are quite few of them: - Weight scale wasn't working - No Muslim shower in bath room - The power is cut as soon as you leave the room, so you cannot charge your equipment or keep them running - The TV (along with every other device) is in Chinese language Now the good ones. The hotel is beautiful, attention to detail is impressive, from floor to walls to roof, everything is carefully beautified. The beach view alone is enough value for money. You can enjoy the sunrise. The bed is very comfy; wardrobe is quite spacious; bathroom is excellent with slippers, dental kit, sewing kit, bath kit, comb; ambiance is very relaxing; the work table is quite good as well; the room locks automatically and is equipped with alarms; DEDICATED WIFI WITH DECENT BANDWIDTH

We had booked this before colleagues of mine in Maputo recommended other hotels. The hotel is clean, secure, and quiet, and the front desk staff were great. Location is reasonably close to the business districts and there is a grocery store next door. The rooftop bar is OK, though in a city with a lot of great views, it is nothing special. The breakfast was pretty dismal, and given how difficult transportation can be in Maputo if you don't have a driver, the staff could have been more helpful in that regard: they called a driver to take us to dinner but then left us to negotiate the price. In Portuguese. If your transportation is covered and this place is cheap, go ahead, but otherwise there are better places in town.

I had a wonderful stay in Montebelo Indy Maputo Congress Hotel. It is like living in a nice and quite village in the major city Maputo. Although the gym and the pool were closed due to Covid restrictions, the hotel succeeded in maintaining some part of their entertainment program: they have a very nice SPA and professional hairdresser services with friendly personnel. Following the Covid measures: I was very comfortable with their hygene policy and the way they put this in practice. Their hygene standards are comparable with or even higher than the ones of a 5 star hotel in Maputo. The hotel also maintains a high level of security, the rooms are nice and well maintained and the breakfast was very good. In short: if I would ever return to Maputo I book again a room in this hotel.

Booked in by my company on a layover in Maputo. When we checked in we were told the elevator was broken and our rooms were on the 11th floor !! Room was was very shabby. Broken window, mould in the bathroom, broken wall sockets NO toilet paper. Not worth the $83 charged for the over night stay and in fact would never stay here again. WiFi was terrible and hardly able to connect. Would not recommend this place, nothing in this place relates to VIP !!! Avoid it.

Rooms are very well appointed. Airconditioned and very comfortable. No bath in the bathrooms but otherwise very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is laid out as a round building so navigating around the premises is rather challenging. Some floors are across different levels. Central elevator is not working. So the only access to the rooms is through the service elevator. Breakfast was a complete buffet. Food seems to be of a high quality.

I used the hotel pick up service, but I had a little difficulty booking. Difficult to connect with reservation manager. Amenities nearby, Breakfast was good
