Maoming Hotels with Pools

I went there because despite being far from everything, I don´t mind if it´s a nice place. I was lured by the nice pics with the blue sea, but what I found was disappointing, very calm, yes and so closed to the beach that you can hear the sea from the room. that I loved. What I didn't like much was that the water was brown-ish, I didn´t even dare to get in there. As for the hotel, first the good thing: LEO in the front desk went far and beyond to help me with my requirements, really seemed like the only person there willing to help customers. The room was clean, with a nice view and comfortable bed. The hotel has a pretty floating church where you can take nice pictures, it[s popular for weddings as I could evidence. Now, the not so good: Service wasn't as nice as you would expect for the price they charge; besides LEO, as I already mentioned, and the nice lady at the entrance of the restaurant, the rest of the staff was rather uninterested and unpolite. I went to the swimming pool the first day and there weren't any towels available. I asked one of the guys there (as of today I don't know what they were doing besides sitting on a chair and spitting all afternoon) if they could get me a towel and they told me I had to go to the front desk to get one...it was a 10 min walk from the swimming pool). I asked also the lady in the little convenience store next to the pool and the answer was the same. I went, asked LEO, he apologized and got me a towel (took them 10 mins to get a clean towel for me) and I finally could go. Breakfast buffet is mostly Chinese, and so is all in the hotel, mostly for Chinese couples who want to take nice pictures... I don't know what I was expecting, I though I would find a more foreigner-friendly environment, but I still have to learn to lower my expectations.

The room price on Tuesday in summer is 560 yuan (for this price you can stay at Wyndham in other cities). There are no plastic slippers in the room. The bathroom is at the level of a small county hotel (within 150 yuan), including toiletries. I went to Wyndham for breakfast (I guess it was three projects from the same developer). There were basically no hard dishes. Even the bacon was chopped and fried into potato cubes. There was no quality at all. It was said that there was a tourism festival in Thailand based on Southeast Asia. The breakfast at the resort hotel is rich and full. The sand on the beach is black and the sea water is yellow. This is also a problem with the developer's site selection and aesthetic management. It seriously affects my impression of Maoming, the leader of GDP in western Guangdong. I originally planned to stay one more night, so I immediately changed my itinerary and returned to Guangzhou.

When I checked in, I was refused a driver's license. I had to ask for a physical ID. This was the first time I encountered it. It was very bad! When checking in and checking out, the front desk looked impatient, as if they owed them millions, and their attitude was extremely bad! After registering, I threw my room card away and ignored anyone. At least tell me which floor, where the elevator is, what time is breakfast, and what floor is breakfast? ! Is this the service of a star hotel? ? Other hotels will give you some snacks and fruits, but everything in the room here costs money. Boss, how poor are you? ? I will never stay here again, I will block you for life! Lose Maoming’s face!

The hotel front desk service is polite, the price is average, the parking lot is open-air, it is close to the beach, but you have to drive there, it is very humid in the south, enough. It is close to the Shuidongwan Bridge and the environment is quiet

Before check-in, Ms. Zong'e Xiao Li, the front desk staff of the hotel, called to understand our check-in requirements and arranged a Ruyi room for us. The service was excellent. The room facilities and equipment were very complete, and the hygiene was also very good, clean and comfortable. I could also see the fireworks on the beach on weekends from the balcony of the room, which was really great. When the Mid-Autumn Festival came, we were also given small gifts and lanterns, which the children liked very much. The overall experience was very good. It would be better if there were more parking spaces at the entrance of the hotel. This is the only shortcoming, haha, but it does not affect our overall check-in experience. I will come again next time if I have the chance.
