Sheraton Maoming Hot Spring Resort

A very quiet hotel with a garden-style design, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The service is also excellent.

The environment is truly top-notch, and the room is luxurious and spacious. The pool could easily fit three or four adults. However, the breakfast really needs some feedback. While the variety and taste were good, it was shared with the Yushui Gu Hot Spring next door. I think they need to separate the areas; the experience was quite subpar. There was no seating and no food, and we had to find everything ourselves. On the other hand, the public pools at the Gu Hot Spring were very good, and there were plenty of facilities for children.

The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable, with beautiful mountain and garden views. The room is spacious and comfortable to sit in. I picked up the guest services guide, and I appreciate how easy it is to understand everything at a glance. I enjoyed the fresh air and private hot spring on the room's balcony; the hot spring water quality was good. Although the hotel's location is a bit remote, it's perfect for guests who love nature and are traveling by car. Areas for improvement: The front desk could provide more detailed information during check-in.

Sheraton's quality is generally reliable, but this particular hotel is a bit out of the way and relatively small. However, the garden design is a highlight. As a resort hotel, it's a bit lacking in facilities. The lack of air conditioning in the hotel elevators is a detail that falls short compared to the Sheraton Zhanjiang Mingda I stayed at previously. The water park is a collaboration with a hot spring and is open to the public, not just hotel guests, so the water quality could be better. The hotel's own swimming pool, however, has good water quality.

The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is plentiful. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are great, quiet, and have a beautiful ambiance. The night view is absolutely stunning. The hot springs are relaxing, and there's a water park that the kids absolutely loved. Breakfast was excellent, and the children also really enjoyed the afternoon tea. Definitely worth recommending!

Initially, I stayed in a ground-floor courtyard room. It rained for the past two days, and I saw geckos outside, which is understandable. However, there were two large cockroaches in my room! I called the front desk multiple times in the early morning, but no one answered. Eventually, I went to the front desk and requested a room change. While there were no more cockroaches in the new room, I still saw geckos. I didn't even dare to use the private hot spring on the balcony. Summary: Facilities: They're okay, but the hotel pool has no shade. Hygiene: The ground-floor rooms seem to be a bit worse; at least I encountered cockroaches. The higher floors also have geckos, and a previous guest's bag wasn't cleaned out. Environment: It's quite secluded and quiet, suitable for relaxation. However, because it's so remote, there are no delivery services nearby, so you have to eat at the hotel. Service: The service was good. The front desk patiently resolved the issue and offered fruit as compensation.
