Queens Guesthouse Manchester

Stayed for a gig, the bedding was dirty, the towels 2 for 3 people stunk, shower had leaves in it, carpets disgusting, for the price we paid, sleeping in car was a better option! Disgusting place.

We arrived to staff sat vaping behind the desk which wasn’t very professional but that was the least of the problems at this place. The room we were given was disgraceful, carpet tiles with bits missing tv didn’t work , dirty place , shower had not been cleaned properly maybe rinsed that’s all , floor was dirty not even a bar of soap in sight so the complimentary toiletries was quite misleading. The worst part was a glass door on the ground floor room that lead out directly to a dodgy car park/street. The door could have been kicked in with one kick very flimsy. Asked to move they said no as they were fully booked. Got back to the room and decided to leave and pay double what we paid here to go elsewhere as we wouldn’t have slept a wink in that place. I cannot imagine a homeless shelter being any worse than this place. The TV on the wall wasn’t even in straight. Not sure if the bed was ok as didn’t go near it thankfully. How /why the owners don’t do it up and make it nice is beyond me as it’s a nice big building and could be lovely inside if they tried. Genuinely would not stay here if someone had paid me.

So dirty, bed bugs and many of them walking on the walls The room smelled very bad, it was very cold, the sheets and blankets were not clean, I was not comfortable at all.

The place is horrendous but you get what you pay for. Check in was easy and bed was clean and comfortable but that’s about it. Single glazed windows where two were stuck open (I stayed in November 29th!) If you literally need somewhere dry to sleep for a few hours after a night out in Manchester for dirt cheap I would recommend though.
