Le Palme

So Friendly A great little hotel right on the Malia *****, about half way between the main street and the beach- it was lovely and quiet in early April but probably a bit different through summer. The owner/ manager who was on reception was extremely welcoming and very friendly, she added a real personal touch. My room was clean and well decorated with a comfortable bed and beautiful terrace (shame it didnt stop raining long enough to use it!). Decent WiFi provided, aircon available but at extra cost- not sure how much as i didnt need it. The only downside was the ensuite which was very cramped and using the shower flooded it. Also, no toiletries other than hand soap, and theyre a bit skimpy on the towel front. That said, overall Le Palme is an excellent, good value place to stay in Malia.

Great place right in the centre of all the pubs and clubs, so maybe not for retirees. Bars, clubs, pubs, food, quad and motorcycle hire all outside. The beach is 10 minutes stroll away. Get there early to get a bed with an umbrella. The pool at the hotel is great anyway.

The hotel is great, and the people are even better, the hospitality of Maria and Andreas is amazing, these 2 people made the whole trip worth it, I definitely want to go back just to see these 2, they jump at every little thing to make your holiday just that bit better! Maria is an exceptional person, When my transfer didn't arrive. Maria went out of her way to call a taxi and tell them it was an emergency, and even showed me where to get cash for the taxi as all of the ATMs in the area were out of service, and even grabbed a local TUI rep to report what had happened, and whilst we were doing that, another host put my bags into the taxi for me. Andreas, such a funny, and entertaining bar man, always open to a conversation and a game of pool when he isn't working hard making sure the bar is kept clean and tidy, or serving the perfect pint, with Andreas your never kept waiting to be served, always happy to take song requests, or even help you with advice on where to visit and where to go, I look forward to visiting the hotel again to see him and Maria! The pools are great, everywhere is kept tidy, the hosts do a good job of keeping the noise down in the hotel (can't fault them for the main *****, as this is a party town) but they don't let it spill into the hotel at all, The rooms have showers, toilets and cooking facilities, the cleaners are there every day to change your sheets and replace towels, Everyone at this hotel is clearly on their A game, best experience I have had by far, very much looking forward to visiting again

Absolutely loved this hotel. There was daily room service and they kept the room spotlessly clean . The staff was kind and very friendly, with impeccable service . Will definitely visit again.Highly recommended !
