Moonlight Hotel

We have been coming to Stalis for 20 years and 10 of them we have stayed at the Moonlight hotel. Although the hotel is only 2 stars with have always had 4 star treatment from manos and his family and staff. Bojan & Simon who run the bar have always created a quiet, socialbe and fun atmosphere for a pleasant evening drink (especially the vodka and Red Bull). We will definitely be here next year for more of the same. Paul & Diane.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Manos, who instantly made us feel at home. Our room was spotless, charming, and well looked after — yes, the shower cubicle might be a little snug, but it’s Greece, not a football locker room! The hotel staff were all fantastic — genuinely friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of what they do. Breakfast was lovely each morning, with a good variety and fresh options. It’s clear that everyone working here really cares about the guests having a great time. Now, a quick word about the bar — because we noticed a review or two giving it an unfair swipe. Honestly, the guys behind the bar couldn’t have been more accommodating. They’re polite, professional, and still manage to keep things light and fun. We watched them juggle drinks, banter, and guests of all ages with a smile. As for those shots — maybe it’s not about how many drinks you have, but how nice you are when you ask! The pina coladas? Tasted great to us, but maybe they just taste better when you’re enjoying the vibe and not comparing receipts. All in all, we loved our stay, and we’ll absolutely be coming back. Great location, great people, and a place that knows how to treat its guests — even the grumpy ones.

Wonderfully unique hotel where everybody feels comfortable. Exceptional owners, lovely kind people, and a staff team with committed professionalism and true Greek hospitality. Proud to be a return guest. Superb advice about the island offered too - this year I visited the West of Crete for a trip. Bojan and Simon are brilliant at the bar. Everyone is made feel welcome here. Arianna keeps the rooms immaculate. Indeed, I’ve never been to a cleaner hotel. The whole place is spotless. Breakfast is fresh and plentiful with very good quality ingredients, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Thank you so much to all of the staff making everything perfect, and of course to you Manos for your wisdom.

Bojan and Simon run the onsite bar which is fantastic with a great selection of drinks available. The hotel staff are friendly and excellent at making sure everyone has a wonderful experience. Very clean and welcoming place to visit with lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance, great pools nearby too!

Lovely small family run hotel in Stalis Crete, bed and breakfast. Clean well kept rooms, and a small but lovely breakfast. Hotel set across road from beach and on the road into village of Stalis. Hotel bar great place to meet and chat with guests and local people. Bar staff twin brothers great for service and chat, by end of night you think you known them for ever. With their local knowledge and great variety of drink nothing is a problem, with Simon & Bojan.
