If you are planning for Umrah or Ziyarat, Swissôtel Al Maqam is by far the better choice. The location is excellent – one of the closest hotels to Masjid al-Haram. It has two very convenient access points: one through the Abraj Mall and another that leads directly to the Haram. The lifts are very fast, which is a big help during peak prayer times. Although the cleaning service is a bit slow, the location and convenience make it an ideal hotel for Umrah.
On the other hand, Swissôtel Makkah is not a good option compared to Al Maqam. The location and access are less convenient, and overall the experience feels weaker. If you have to choose between the two, always go for Swissôtel Al Maqam.
Best of the best. Value for money. The Kaabah view was extremely priceless. Beyond!! Buffet Breakfast was served well with plenty of delicious food. Highly recommended.
Sure! Here’s a well-balanced review that highlights the overall positive experience while noting the issue with the furniture:

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel overall. The location is excellent—close to major attractions and easy to get around. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout my stay, and the room was clean and spacious.
One thing to note, though, is that the furniture in the room didn’t quite match the photos online. It looked a bit older and more worn than expected. While this didn’t significantly affect my comfort, it was a bit disappointing given the presentation on the website.
Despite that, I would still recommend this hotel for its service, cleanliness, and great location. Just keep in mind that the room decor may not be exactly as pictured.

Very good hotel, near to Masjid Haram, clear view of Kaaba, the sound of Asa coming from the Masjid 5 times a day, if there is a chance, I will go again, very worth the money spent, can use personal time to do worship together, very worthwhile.
The location is quite good. The rooms are ok. The only complain is the bathroom. It is very small and the shower area is very congested. After you take shower water is floating everywhere in the bathroom floor as the water does not drain out quickly. After one person takes shower than the next person would find it really uncomfortable to shower next
We complained about it and then room was changed only to find out that is same for other rooms as well.
It felt still a long walk with children and the bathroom needs an update.
Breakfast was the same on all days and could have done with fruits and different style of eggs.
Very helpfull staff.
Need to add basic amenities
Only shower gel dispenser is provided

FFaizaEnjoyed everything, well maintained and clean hotel with friendly staff and helpful workers especially at the breakfast on M1. The location was very near to the haram and I enjoyed being near to all the shops and food courts.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the reception team and delighted with a complimentary upgrade upon check-in. The upgraded room was not only spacious with breathtaking views but also impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, reflecting the hotel’s high standards.
A special thank you to the reception manager, whose professionalism and welcoming demeanor made the check-in process smooth and set a positive tone for our stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our satisfaction were truly appreciated.
One of the thoughtful touches that enhanced our experience was the provision of bath salts, allowing us to unwind and relax after completing Umrah. It was a small but meaningful gesture that added to the overall sense of care.
The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. The housekeeping team was proactive, consistently checking in to ensure we had enough towels, toiletries, and other essentials, contributing significantly to our comfort.
Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast service team was attentive and welcoming, ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. They even provided a walk-around tour of the buffet spread, introducing us to the menu and explaining the dishes. The breakfast theme was thoughtfully curated, offering a wide range of delicious options to suit every palate.

Hotel staff we very friendly and ready to help with a big smile on their faces. I enjoyed an early check in (which was rejected via the app ) prize still above average since its a 5 star hotel and located just few meters away from Almasij alharam
AALIThe family suite with five single beds was perfect for our stay—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We had a truly comfortable and great experience at Elaf Kinda Hotel.
GGuest UserLove the Fairmont hotel! Been here a good few times, comfy beds and pillows, i would recommend cleaning out the dust on the AC units and Windowsills, but will be back as it’s one of my favourite hotels to stay in mekkah.
