Al Barakah Mawaddah Hotel

An old hotel with very basic amenities..stayed for 2 nights...no refill/topup for bottled water and other consumables on the 2nd day...rubbish bin not collected..have to dispose by myself. Overall, not recommneded due to bad service.

I stayed there with my family and I was satisfied with my stay at Barakah hotel. Our rooms were clean and stocked with amenities. High speed WiFi available on premises. There are plenty of food options around there. As the hotel is close to Haram, you can offer prayer in the hotel lobby if you are unable to reach to the Haram on time. It was very important for my parents to pray Fajar prayer in congregation from their hotel lobby. The hotel is walking distance from Haram but it's slightly uphill which is difficult for older people to walk. My parents used to go to Haram and stay there for consecutive prayers. One complaint I have is that there is no Adhan sound in the hotel rooms and you don't get to know prayer time if you haven't set an alert on your phone. Overall, I am very happy with my stay and it is highly recommended.

Do not expect much paying little for this property. Basic amenities are met; working fridge, aircon, hot water. Room is fairly clean, cleaners did a good job cleaning the room. The room is small, but it does the job. Very close to the haram, about 10m walk. Small hotel, so waiting for the lift/elevator is not long. However the hotel needs to address the following issue- air con, wall clock, and tv remote is not working. Most hotels at this price do not provide iron & ironing board. So do take note.
