Horrible. I booked two rooms for two nights for a business trip as it was close to our work location and most others hotels were full. However, after last night’s experience we decided not to stay for the second night and have opted to pay to stay elsewhere. Neither the bar nor restaurant were in use though we were invited to go to the local shop and buy beer to have in the bar and to buy a takeaway. Staff were pleasant. The bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was not very clean. my colleague’s shower alternated between too hot and too cold. Breakfast was available but of dubious origin: three tubs of undefined cereal and stale bread for toasting. It seems many of the rooms are being used for social services. I do not recommend staying here despite the relatively low cost. You get what you pay for.

came here for a wedding function. really good venue. however service at the bar was incredibly slow. there was a que of around 10-15 people at a time. only one or two people serving at the bar. we stayed overnight in the hotel. the room was slightly outdated. a couple of the lights didn’t work and the bed was like sleeping on a slab. however slept through the night fine. the shower didn’t have much water pressure however was not too much of an issue as the water was warm. came to breakfast at 9am the next day. we had our orders taken almost immediately which we thought was good and toast was brought over straight away. however i waited myself over an hour and a half to receive my breakfast which was a full english. my partner who was also sat on my table didn’t receive his food at the same time as me and ended up waiting half an hour more. i understand there was a fair few people for breakfast. however i think waiting 2 hours for a cooked breakfast is unacceptable. the food was nice and it was pleasant however was on the small side and couldn’t seem to understand the two hour wait. we did ask the waitress and she said that it was only her and one person in the kitchen which is ridiculous when they have reserved tables for wedding guests that have stayed the night. was a shame that the service didn’t meet the expectations we had as the venue was relatively nice.

Room was fine, basic but clean with wet room bathroom. Staff were friendly and there was a bar for a drink. Colleagues who stayed were not so lucky with one only having cold water and the other electrical sockets did not work! The Hotel from the outside is tired. The garden could be really nice but is pretty grubby with dirty chairs etc. It’s relatively cheap so I guess you get what you pay for! Fine for a couple of nights as a base but probably not for a longer stay.
