Great location, fast wi-fi, comfortable bed. Laundry room was a really nice bonus.
As for the downsides... On the first day people kept entering my room with their keycards, and not all of them were hotel workers, which was creepy. One night some neighbours were having sex. Good for them, not so good for my sleep — so the soundproofing could be better. And I also got allergic to the shower gel which never happened before.
So it really was a 50/50 experience
Really good location and easily accessible by car. Hotel itself is great, rooms of decent size and nicely designed, bathroom are very practical and really clean. Walls between rooms are a little thin so you can hear your neighbors but it wasn’t outrageous in my opinion. The parking of the hotel was full and I learnt this after my booking so that wasn’t great, but on the bright side the parking of the mall Principe Pio in front of the hotel had space (open 24hr and was actually cheaper than the hotel parking - a win for us).
Staff at the counter was the only minus for me. When I called the hotel to enquire about parking & ZBE car plate registration the man hung up on me due to what I believe was poor English (which would have been fine if he just said so). I had to call back again and got another person who explained details to me nicely in English. Also, every time we passed by the front desk we barely got any glance or had someone saying hi which is a shame (if not rude!). In hospitality, being welcoming is the #1 rule and the staff at the front desk was lacking in that regard.
The hotel is in a very convenient location. You can take subway Line 4 or Line 6 directly from the airport. There is also Line 3 at the door to Sun Palace Square. Opposite the hotel is a British Palace department store and a Zara. If you want to walk to the Sun Palace, it only takes 30 minutes and you can take a leisurely stroll. It is recommended to buy breakfast at the hotel. The dining area has a good environment and the meals provided basically satisfy our stomachs. In the case of not knowing much Spanish, the hotel's breakfast is the best choice!
I really can't give much of an opinion, because when we arrived, they told us there was a breakdown and we had to change hotels. But they were very nice; they drove us to the hotel at no cost. They respected the reservation. I don't remember the name of the other hotel, but it was great.

Located in the heart of Madrid, next to Plaza de España and right next door to the Royal Palace! Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Rooms were clean and the lobby of the hotel was always immaculate. Would stay here again!
The hotel is near the Don Quijote sculpture, very close to the commercial street, and the location is easy to find; the front desk sister was enthusiastic and patient, and the check-in was quick and easy. She was very considerate in allocating four rooms to one floor for us; the room is spacious and clean, and the kitchen is fully equipped , the toilet and bathroom are separated from wet and dry, and the bath water is comfortable to relieve fatigue.
Suggestion: It would be better if the bathroom is equipped with toothbrush, toothpaste and comb. It would be better if the room is equipped with disposable slippers and spare blankets. As long as you mention these to the front desk, they will be delivered to the room immediately. You can also
Small hotel but very nice place that have common place for group or family gatherings or having meals or celebrating. 2 minutes away from Metro station and bring you right to the center of Madrid. Nearby got many eatery and good selection of local food.
The rooms are in a good location and are 10 minutes walk from Plaza España. The reception staff at the hotel is still friendly and speaks English. Because it is necessary to cook, it is necessary to add the appropriate tableware, and it is free. This location is one block from the main street, so the overall is very quiet. There are restaurants downstairs and nearby, so you don't have to set breakfast at the hotel, just three or five minutes walk from the subway station.
Very nice hotel! Super friendly, customer friendly and helpful staff at the reception. Fine room with good bed. And, for me very important, very quiet: no noise load from outside and from the other rooms! Also super: no music, not at the reception, not in the breakfast room.
A little far from the city, but bus 161 stops before the door (buy in a car in a station a UF map and load 10 rides there. NB in Madrid you pay not by distance/time, but by ride and crossing is often necessary).
A few improvements:
- the restaurant was not open for lunch and dinner during the winter season, which was not reported at the shopping room. Not pretty. Well room service with very limited and fairly priced possibilities.
- The fruit at breakfast was not mature, so it was not eating.
The older receptionist was unhappy to check out, he took a phone call and, while talking to the other, he managed my business, he didn't say anything to me, a deterrent because the real receptionists were just as kind and polite.
All of the hotel I'm going back to: very customer friendly and quiet!
Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is not located close to the historical center, rather closer to the university area, however there are metro stations close with convenient connections. Also, there are some restaurants for a quick meal very close to the hotel.
