The experience of staying in a B&B in Madrid is really not good. The main problem is the service. I booked two nights, and the flight was more than ten hours. Thanks to the customer service staff of Ctrip’s overseas department, who actively communicated and coordinated throughout the process, and gave compensation. Although I still waited for several hours and checked in at the time they specified, Ctrip was okay. It is recommended that Ctrip change its overseas suppliers in Spain. Finally, based on my many stays, I do not recommend B&Bs in Madrid.

Overall. The hotel is near Puerta del Sol, there is access control, ring the bell or swipe the card to enter, feeling safe. The first floor is bright and warm, the first impression is not bad, the receptionist is older and the attitude is average. Enter the room to see that the facilities and sanitation are generally the same, it seems to be a private house renovation. The elevator is very fun. Press the button of the building. It will slowly rise or fall to this floor, and then quickly open the elevator door, otherwise it will leave. The first time I took this elevator, I didn't see it at first, and I climbed two floors with my suitcase.

First of all, the location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the Prado Museum and a 10-minute walk from Puerta del Sol, which is commendable. However, the room smelled strongly after renovations. The hotel also insisted on charging an extra €55 for bringing my daughter, who's under 11. This is incomprehensible. We've traveled all the way from Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Madrid, and we've never encountered such treatment. Hilton and Marriott hotels don't charge extra for bringing children, and the Frankfurt Hilton even offered a free extra bed. We booked a so-called superior king room with a street view, but if you look closely at the room pictures, you can only see the balcony of the building opposite, with no street view at all. Beware! We tipped €50 from check-in to check-out. The bellhop was incredibly helpful. This hotel has a large staircase, so travelers with a lot of luggage should be aware of this pitfall. 😂😂

The difficulty may happen, but the room air conditioner near the entrance is turned off in about an hour and you have to turn on again. I have a reservation so that it will be cut off in about an hour, but I didn't know how to cancel it, and the air conditioner on the bedroom side was not turned off and moved, so I think it was a problem with the setting, but I didn't understand it well. Overall, the room was clean and the bath toilet was clean ＆ It was a new and comfortable room.

Had a fantastic stay! The room was spacious and fully equipped with everything you could need. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transportation (buses and subway) to get anywhere. The front desk staff were lovely, polite, and friendly.
