Just a normal dormitory. To be honest, the shower temperature was low even at max. The entrance was fully automated, including the passport check. I brought some food from the supermarket for dinner, but there was a microwave, spoons, forks, etc. ready to go.

I found this hostel to be ok. Beds were comfortable. Its location was not central, there was never anyone around to ask a question, no maps or help provided to get around Madrid and the lights chronically shut off every 40 seconds to save them money on electricity. So ridiculous and completely unsafe. Putting in contacts, diabetic shot, walking up and down stairs etc and then you are in pitch black. What the hell???
Really I think there are way better hostels to choose from more central to Madrids centre and not try to cheap out!

It's nice; you check in yourself upon arrival. The beds are comfortable, and the lockers open and close with a card; you don't have to buy or carry a padlock.

I didn’t expect that my first experience staying in a youth hostel would be so good! 
I originally booked a mixed room for 12 people, but I was assigned an 8-person female room. I was very grateful and immediately felt relieved. 
The hygiene is very good, there is a hairdryer in the toilet and lye in the bathroom. Used their towels for a few days and it was totally fine. There is hot water for bathing! ! ! !
The mattress is super thick, wide and very comfortable to sleep on. Enough personal space.
The only thing is that the sensor light is a bit inconvenient and is often turned off.
Also, walking around when sleeping on the upper bed can easily affect the person on the lower bed.
Overall, it is cheap and good quality, and I can repurchase it.
