DO NOT STAY HERE! This Hostal is unsafe for women. On the final night of my stay, the concierge sent me an unsolicited sexual image via WhatsApp. He had previously checked me in and knew I was staying alone. After sending the explicit image he then tried to deny it and said it was meant for the “cleaning lady”. This interaction happened at 22:00. He also told me to relax and that I was overreacting to what is clearly a violation of my safety. His messages continued to be extremely unprofessional. I ended up leaving the Hostal and moving to a new hotel as I did not feel safe spending the night there. Hostal Patria is now refusing to cooperate in resolving this issue. This Hostal should not be in business.

It is located a few meters from the Puerta del Sol, so its location is very good. We had a family room that was quite spacious and comfortable, with good views. And when I closed the window, I barely heard any noise. I didn't like the pillow, it was only one piece, but we asked them to change it and they did it without any problems. We have seen that it is very safe, the girls who work there are super friendly. The staff are almost all girls. A place that transmits security.

We know Madrid very well. This is the first time we have stayed here and the truth is that it is very good. I was delighted with the treatment of the staff. The cleanliness is renovated, it has a good coffee machine and a good cleaning service. And above all, it feels safe everywhere. The ladies who work here are wonderful. So we recommend it.

It was a great experience the location is great and the cleanness is great and it is safe and Angelo is a helpful and great person so I recommand it to every one and if I came again to madrid diffently I will stay in this hostal because it is excellent in all the sides

Un gran lugar por su limpieza, por su ubicación me sentí como en casa, un sitio agradable, la zona es muy buena tiene muchos servicios y el personal me trató muy bien. En mi caso podría mejorar el colchón, la verdad que relación calidad precio a mí sinceramente me pareció un sitio con un precio bueno. Por eso yo lo recomendaría a mis amigos y a mi familia

Great place to stay. I've been using this place for years and it's the best. Ángel the owner is fantastic. It's smack downtown, so you can come and go throughout the day. I always come here when I'm in Madrid and always will. Ángel is always available.

Nos quedamos en este hostal cuatro días y antes de irnos queríamos dejar un comentario porque estamos agradecidos con el servicio y la amabilidad del personal. Es un lugar sumamente limpio y renovado, los baños eran nuevos y teníamos vistas a la calle mayor y la puerta del Sol. Nos recomendaron sitios muy bonitos donde ir a comer por la plaza Santa Ana, también una pastelería “El Riojano”, que está justo debajo y tienen las mejores torrijas de Madrid. Lo único malo es que en la zona hay mucha gente, pero es un sitio al que volveremos seguro, Muy buen lugar
