Excellent location and extremely convenient! It's just that the square is under construction, so taxis can't get to the door and can only park outside the square.

A great hotel with friendly staff and excellent facilities. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning. The location was ideal for sightseeing and dining out. We look forward to coming back soon!

This place was in an unbeatable location less than one block from Plaza del Sol. Shops and restaurants were all around! It was a less than 15 minute walk to the prado and to the royal palace. Staff were friendly and welcoming and polite. The hotel seemed overall quiet and comfortable. Our first room had a bad leak on the bathroom ceiling but staff promptly found as another room. The rooms are quite old but quite clean. Noise from the street despite being on the first level was not bad. The water pressure was amazing. The price was higher than expected but seemed appropriate for Madrid from what I can decipher. The staff kindly kept my bags while I explored on my last day here after checkout until evening when I was traveling out of Madrid. I would stay again.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights 7th to 11th of July- loved the location, couldn't get better, just off one of the main squares Puerto Del Sol which has a buzzing atmosphere day and night. Lots of shops nearby and they have a pavement cafe below which was one of our favourite places to people watch. The room was quite spacious with a nice bathroom, we didn't have a view and the window looked onto the internal courtyard, would have been nice to look onto the square etc but this would have cost a lot more. Breakfast was good a nice selection of hot and cold food and not too busy so it wasn't the usual crush of everyone trying to get the coffee, toaster etc- would come back thought it was very good value for money.

El señor Alberto ….( Mediana-baja estatura, ojos claros) la noche antes de marcharnos solicitamos con el 2 taxis al aeropuerto. Despues de ponernos varios peros, de que no podian entrar cerca, decidio pedirlos para 10:45 am la mejor hora que el recomendo. Al dia siguiente las personas en reception nos dicen que no se pudo hacer porque no aparecieron 2 taxis para nosotros (Falso), hubo discrepancias entre ellos detras del front desk (9 Julio a 11:00 AM) intentando ayudar a la metida de pie del señor Alberto (Que estuvo las personas en noche anterior)… En fin, no quisieron ayudarnos pidiendonos taxi, incluso buscaron al manager de turno que tambien protegio al señor Alberto…viendo todo esto, y que el tiempo apremiaba, fui corriendo al Hotel Moderno (Excelente servicio donde nos hospedamos la semana anterior) y ellos facilmente nos consiguieron esos 2 taxis en nenos de 8 minutos…Me, pregunto: Siendo 2 hoteles contiguos practicamente, por que el Hotel Europa no ofrece el servicio que tan simple es…Cual fue el afan del manager y los 2 de recepcion de ese dia en defender, incluso diverger en opiniones sobre Alberto… que nos prometio taxi y despues mintio…en fin, total falta de respeto y poco deseos de ayudar a turistas americanos ese dia repito (9 julio/25 a kas 11:00 AM)…Lo demas del hotel Excelente.

Servizio ottimo. La camera è stata molto accogliente proprio sulla plaza de la puerta del sol. Il mio balcone si affacciava sulla scultura dell'orso e del corbezzolo, simbolo della rinascita di Madrid dalla peste. La posizione centralissima dell'hotel Europa e la presenza della stazione metro di puerta del sol rende il soggiorno vero e proprio relax. A due passi dal museo de la reina sofia (guernica- picasso) e dallo spettacolare museo del Prado.

We checked in as a family on 24th June 2025, I left my wallet in the safe for the entire stay of 3 nights as I have been paying all expenses from Google pay. I have to leave in the morning of 27th June, hence in the night of 26th I checked my money in the safe and figured out I have 200€ and 400$ cash missing from my wallet. I approached the front desk asking for security camera check, despite my request the front desk man said I have to wait until tomorrow when security officer pops up. Unfortunately I have to leave to Granada in the morning, but I will reach out to police via online application. I also expect hotel's management will take investigation on my case by reviewing the security camera check and figure out the sneaky thief from their personnel.

I knew that the hotel was in a pedestrian zone and that a taxi could take us within a short walk to hotel. But when we left the hotel to go to the airport the next day, we asked hotel to call taxi to get to the airport. They said that no taxi could come any where near hotel because of special event in area. The only way to get to the airport was via Metro. That meant three different lines , two connections.. So, with all our luggage, we had to take three trains to airport. I will never make reservations again with a hotel that is not accessible by taxi. It came at a complete shock that this could happen

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff, especially the front desk staff, were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs. My room was spacious, luxurious, and impeccably clean, with stunning views of the city. The hotel's location was perfect, I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool and the delicious breakfast buffet. Overall, my stay was amazing , and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting
