The hostel is located near Opera in a good location on the 5th floor of a large old building.
The room could be nice if it was brought into the 21st century. No amenities, old fashioned key that needs to be left at reception, no kettle, no cups, no fridge. In the bathroom badly damaged unit with a tiny piece of soap and a small plastic bag with shower gel.
Not clean either were hairs in the bed and no duvet but a very old blanket.
Only two sockets one very high up for the tv and one in the middle above the bed which is not useful. There is a third one in the bathroom that looks from 1938 and I wouldn't use it as it may blow up my phone.
No breakfast or anything, very poor value for money there are much better around.

Great location as right in Puerta del Sol. It is an old residence unit converted to guest hostel. As the wall (wooden) is no sound prove function, thus quiet is highly reserved if you are staying here as not to disturb other guests.
The room condition is good, front desk is 24 hours.
The only hiccup during my stay was on the last days of mine 3 nights of which no water supply on my checkout day. The shower was halted and can’t do washing and cleaning at all. Apparently it is the whole area issue as we learned from the staff.
