I live around the corner of this hotel in Madrid. Believe me, every month, people with booking at said hotel show up at my residence, unable to enter the place, unable to access their rooms, and so forth. Being kind to others, I spend much of my time when approached, by tourists who speak no or little Spanish, at the door of this hotel, over a microphone talking to employees, who I must say, have NOT ONCE shown up at the doorway to help out. It is arduous, the guests of the hotel stressed out of their wits. The example of tonight, was a Korean businessman who rang our doorbell as we ate dinner. From our balcony, I showed him the hotel, where the entry is et al. About fifteen minutes later, he was at our doorstep again. This time my husband accompanied him, spoke to a lady employee who opened the front door, and said soon someone would be in the lobby to help him. Well, twenty minutes later, the poor guy was back at our doorstep. This time around, my husband who had not yet finished dinner, accompanied him, and stood by him till he was sure this gentle soul managed to get his room number, and off to his room. He was so apologetic, saying he travels the world, but never had he experienced this.
