Embassy Suites by Hilton Madison Downtown

Spent one night here while on a road trip. This brand new hotel was wonderful in every way -- highly recommended! First, the hotel is in an ideal location -- both the state capitol building and the water are close, as well as lots of restaurants, shops and street life. It's easy to park in the municipal garage across the street or allow the friendly valets to park your car for you. The public areas and the room were very clean. My room was large, quiet, comfortable and everything was just like new. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with cheerful service. I was given coupons for a happy hour reception but wasn't able to attend. It looked popular! I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to a friend. Great stay!

We stayed in this amazing hotel last weekend for 3 nights. We went there with a group of ladies celebrating 20+years of friendship, and revisiting our alma mater. The hotel is brand new, and very clean. Augusta, the manager, went out of her way to make sure we felt welcomed. We stayed in a standard suite room with 2 queen beds. The room was plenty spacious for the 4 of us. Bed were very comfortable. We even had a view of Lake Monona from the 9th floor! There a a very nice sitting room at the entrance of the room with a pull-out couch. Bathroom area of very clean. They had wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash which were very helpful since I forgot to bring my own. The buffet breakfast was really nice, and included with your stay! They had an omelette bar, as well as station for hot items, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc, as well as fresh fruit, pastries, cereal. And , of course coffee. Every evening they had a complementary reception at the bar for the hotel guests. Each of us received 2 drinks on the house. We only had time for one, of course because we wanted to explore all the rest Madison had to offer. The location of the hotel is perfect, less than a block away from the beautiful Capitol building. We were able to walk everywhere, to the famers market, to state street, even down to Memorial Union and the Terrace. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to come back with my family soon! Thank you again for such a wonderful stay!

This hotel had opened 10 days prior to my stay - but I was still very pleased with the room, bar, restaurant, food, gym, valet and the staff was very polite and helpful. Location is great - just one block from the square. Complimentary breakfast was great. Bacon, eggs, potatoes, French toast, turkey sausage, fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, toast and bagels. As well as a chef to cook a made to order omelet. Everyone was very nice and the area was very clean. Lobby store: It is nice to have a lobby store that offers some snacks or types of food options that one could grab for lunch. I stay at hotels for weeks at a time and go to an office to work and it’s nice to be able to grab something to take for lunch. The store also offers ice cream, candy, chips, soda, wine, beer and some Wisconsin souvenirs to take home. Gym: Very impressed with the gym. Multiple treadmills, row machine, elliptical, 3 peloton bikes, free weights and 3 machine weights. Also had a water bottle refill station and restroom. Bar/Lounge: There is a guest reception in the evening with some snacks and drink specials. Valet: $35/night - and staff was very nice and quick (about 5-10min) - but the hotel wasn't full. Yet, they were always there to greet you.

I highly recommend this hotel! It’s in a fantastic location, with excellent staff and amenities. I stayed in Room 945, which offered a beautiful view of Lake Monona. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot water. I also appreciated the full-size ironing board. The evening reception was a nice touch as well. For those seeking a partial lake view, I’d suggest requesting rooms on the upper floors ending in *45, but it’s worth checking with the hotel if any of the inner rooms offer similar views. My stay was overall very positive, there were a few minor areas for improvement. Not a big deal and did not ding their rating for it I wasn’t recognized or thanked as a Hilton Honors or Diamond Member at check-in, and there was no personalized greeting on the TV. As someone who works hard to maintain this status with Hilton each year, it was a bit disappointing. Also, the adhesive came loose from the soap in the shower which I thought was weird for a new hotel. I would add that, booking with the Hilton Honors Advance Purchase Rate made the stay a great deal. I would absolutely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Excellent customer service at this location! The manager Augusta was incredibly helpful and upgraded our room after a website error occurred on our booking. We appreciate your friendly staff (Ludvig and everyone), from the front desk, to the bar, to the super clean rooms and premaid pullout couch bed! We will be back. Also, Augusta was working overtime and stayed to help and was as professional and kind as if her day had just begun! Five Stars!
