As a newlywed couple, our honeymoon in the Maldives was an absolute dream, and it wouldn't have been the same without the exceptional service we received at Arena Beach Hotel. The level of hospitality we encountered was truly outstanding, and we owe a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff members who made our stay so memorable. Themiya and Ruwan, the friendly faces at the front office, welcomed us with open arms and ensured that every aspect of our visit was seamless. Their professionalism and willingness to assist were truly appreciated, and they went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met. On the culinary front, Nipuna and Janith, the talented chefs at Arena Beach Hotel, took our dining experience to a whole new level. Their culinary creations were nothing short of exquisite, and each meal was a delightful journey of flavors. The Kaani Village hotel is part of a hotel chain on the island. The treatment has been excellent from the reception, where we did not have to carry the suitcases at any time. The first person we had contact with was Magic, who gave us his phone number for anything that might happen. The room has all the comforts: a spacious bathroom, a large bed, plugs, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fan, lots of artificial and natural light, as well as access to the indoor pool. The beach is less than 2 minutes walk. The hotel offers all services directly, without third parties. We have done excursions in which we have swum with sharks, turtles, we have seen the coral reef, we have played with manta rays and we have eaten on deserted islands. In addition, the monitors that have touched us have had impeccable attention. We have coincided with people from many cultures and the respect that there is in general is noticeable. The price per excursion is between $30-50 per person, which is very affordable considering that you spend a large part of the day outside and it includes food. They also offer water sports. We have not been able to do them because we have lacked some time on the island. We have been here 5 nights. As for the food, they made us an improvement compared to what we had contracted and all the meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) have been at the Kaani Palm, which is on the beachfront. They also gave us free access to the infinity pool on the 9th floor. The views are incredible. The beach in front is private and only accessible to hotel residents. On this beach you can wear a bikini without any problems. There are ushers who take care of everything you may need: lounger, drinks, food... It should be noted that the island is a mix between several hotel chains and private homes of people who live here, so it is not as artificial as if it were a deserted island with a resort. There are many cats that are very humanized, are good and allow themselves to be caressed. In general the experience has been very positive. If we had to recommend the trip, we would only increase the stay by 1 or 2 days to be able to do what little we have lacked.

We stayed as a family for 3 nights in the quadruple room which was spacious enough for 2 adults and 3 children to sleep comfortably. The quadruple rooms do not face the sea. The condition of the room is excellent and the hotels seems to be well maintained. Service wise, the staff are generally polite. The breakfast had limited options. Be warned, the cats literally dine with you in the restaurant and it appears to be a problem across the island. The beach is nice although it is not maintained as it should be. There were plenty of sun beds available. Water sports are very reasonably priced compared to average prices in Maldives. Overall, pleasant stay.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING AND AVOID TO SPOIL YOUR HOLIDAYS!!! We spent 3 nights there and were treated as if we were money. We went to eat at the hotel restaurant and asked for fresh juice, they gave us very tasteless mango juice and told us that mango in maafushi is not sweet, we had the same juice in another part of the island and it was as we expected. Every time we sit down they insistently ask us if we want water, and even if we say no, they leave the water on the table and don't include it in the bill, as soon as we get up they run after us saying we have to pay for the water, obviously we told them that the water was still closed on the table and we didn't pay. They even charge a 10% service charge like everywhere else but they never bring us change and keep it for themselves. They cook without head cover or gloves and the food was of very poor quality. We asked to join an excursion at the reception 30 minutes before it started and they told us it was not possible to organise it, so we went to the beach, where there is a kaani beach, asked them directly and they organised it for us right away (they were very angry about the attitude of the receptionist and told us that receptionist did not even want to make a phone call). The night was a circus: very loud music from 9pm until 1am and it was not possible to sleep in the room or talk on the balcony because of the noise. Room service did not replace towels, beach towels or toilet the day of departure they told us that some beach towels were missing, so we had to waste time explaining that we hadn't received them the day before. And obviously they asked us to leave a good review in booking, this makes me think they think we are stupid. Avoid this place.

Like my review title indicates this was an experience of a lifetime. Diving in the Maldives had been on my bucket list. My wife and I spent nights at this resort. On arrival we were greeted with multiple staff members sporting smiles and coconut drinks for us. We cannot say one negative thing about our stay with COMO. The food was amazing with special meal preparations courtesy of Chef Ketut Dika. The restaurant manager, Dewa Hindra, was always there to greet us and make us feel welcome and cater to our every desire. Our villa butler, Ishmael, visited our villa twice a day and promptly kept all clean and tidy and always left us with abundant supplies of all that we needed. My divemaster, Sharkey, who is appropriately named, guided me on 11 dives and showed me the best of the reefs and marine wildlife that Cocoa Island had to offer. The dive boat was very comfortable and on all but except one of my dives I was the only customer/diver on the boat but there were four crew. Every other member of the resort staff were always friendly, helpful, and greeted us with a smile. COMO intentionally limits their guest list to promote guest satisfaction. This is not typical, certainly in the case of large hotel resorts. By the time we left we were totally spoiled. If you are planning a dive vacation or just a get away vacation this is the place to go.

From the moment we stepped on maafushi we were welcomed from the hotel . A buggy was a couple of step away and our luggages were taken care of. With a little quick island tour we were taken to the hotel and the checkin process was so smooth . It was great service from Sachin from reception to make it all happen . Seeing his smile was enough to make all our worries go away . The room was excellent quality and the amenities were more than enough for our short stay . Truly amazing view of the ocean at the 5th floor with a balcony filled with privacy . I observed how other hotels had constructed their balcony but triton prestige went beyond expectation for privacy. The next day we planed to go to the beach and staffs understood and guided us to the beach and also assisted with the best and the most comfortable sun-bed from the whole beach . There are so many staffs around and attentive. The breakfast also had amazing options and staff were attentive as well . Monir was one of the best server there he knew me and he was always smiling and engaging . Even-though i came late to breakfast he didnt show any frustration kept his smile from his heart and it really meant alot . And to even sum it up we had like 2 hours after check out still they offered to use their pool facilities and shower as well .. It is very happy to know that they are still in service for us until we take out last steps out of the island . Thank you all for this anticipatory and making this trip memorable .

The hotel is not bad and affordable, the first to go to the Maldives does not know how to book a hotel. I was originally reporting to the group but because I had to pay the money of two people alone, I simply went there. Looking at the pictures of the hotel in the travel agency's itinerary, I found out that it was cheaper than the travel agency! Fortunately, I didn't follow the group, but the problem is coming! The introduction does not explain the time of the boat trip on the island and other information! Orders can only be changed and cancelled before confirmation. It is confirmed that there is no way to solve the problem soon after it is found! I can only admit that I am unlucky! This should be improved! Some hotel information is not very accurate, such as showing only a few kilometers but it is a headache to take a boat! There is no reminder on the transportation mode of the hotel. Some losses could have been avoided!

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and it was pretty disappointing…. As soon as we got to the room the sink was leaking, the safe was not working and the hotel is very worn down… it needs a serious paint job and furniture upgrade. Went to the reception and they sent someone to “fix” the sink… after waiting g for a while and calling they finally sent a person to fix the safe but we wasted like an hour to fix the sink and operate de safe box! That night it was hard to sleep as the bed was a hard as a rock and when I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night there were Cockroaches…. The next morning I talked to them as the sink was leaking again, and to complain about the Cockroaches and to see if they could change our room! They said they would fix the sink again, deep clean and put a thick comforter to make the bed softer. They cleaned but the following night we found more Cockroaches, even more than before…. The curtains are filthy like they have never washed them as well as the bed cushions, the walls need a couple of layers of paint, the hotel is surrounded but many construction site so it’s quite noise and this is the view you get from the pool view room, so save your money! The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to the bikini beach and they can provide beach beds and also the tour we took with them was ok as the people were nice, it was advertised as a 9am-2pm tour but it actually ended at 1pm. If I ever return to the Maldives I will not stay at this hotel as I really dislike cockroaches

Masala Street (inside White Shell Hotel): The entrance looks very fancy but when you step in, it's a kind of a let down where they have a plain room with tables and chairs put together. As this restaurant is attached to White Shell Island Hotel and Spa, their menu prices are all in USD, as is the case with all such other restaurants in Maafushi Island that are tied with a hotel. On the other hand, it seems that stand alone restaurants charge in MVR. A major negative is that they charge a 4% fee on the Bill of you pay by card, which doesn't apply if you pay by cash. The moment we told that we don't have USD and were about to walk out, the person said it's ok that we pay by card and he'll waive off the 4% fee. LOL! We had ordered Veg. Kadhai and Rotis (because their tandoor wasn't operational, so we couldn't have had naan) and were pleasantly surprised by the taste. It was very much like typical Indian taste. The rotis were phulka and served piping hot adding to the good experience. We would visit again, just for the taste.

The hotel has a great location in the middle of Maafushi’s centrum. But so many small things made the stay uncomfortable, especially the lack of information from the hotel’s part. I tried to book transfer ahead from Malé airport to The hotel on Maafushi island. Approximately 4 days before my arrival I got in touch with someone from Seven Hotels saying that it would be possible and which timings I would like. From there I never heard anything back. I tried to write them several mails, contacting them on Facebook and even calling them. No one never replied me back! When my final departure date for Maldives was about to start, I was a bit stressed as I didn’t have any transfer booked ahead from the airport! I like being organized when I travel and this was a very bad start of my short vacation. I landed in Malé airport 06:00 am. In the morning and I had to wait 4 hours in a crowded airport, meanwhile trying to figure out how to find transfer from there to the hotel! In the end I found a random small guy in a white shirt! Who finally was able to help me, but all this stress could have been avoided from the hotels site if it was arranged prior my arrival! When I arrived to Maafushi island a guy was picking me up at the port and I tried to explain my dissatisfaction. The staff barely spoke English - and I gave up. I then contacted Seven Corals via mail, and now I heard from them explaining their wifi connection was bad and therefore they couldn’t get in touch with me! But to be honest this isn’t any excuse! Then you should remove the service online if you aren’t able to help your customers! I booked a deluxe room, and was given another room at the ground floor as my other room wasn’t ready! My check in was at 12:00 pm. But they said it wouldn’t be ready before 15:00 pm! This is also very bad! No housekeeping was neither offered during my 4 days stay. I had to ask for toilet paper! The toilet lid was broken and there was a huge bump in the right side of the bed! I travel the whole world! And this experience wasn’t nice at all! I never write negative reviews! But with your hotel I have too! As it kind of destroyed my small vacation from the beginning. Especially the lack of responsibility as a hotel! The lack of information was so poor!
