Hotels in 3rd arr.La Part-Dieu, Lyon

Pullman Lyon is a relatively new hotel. Had a great stay and I had a train to catch on Jan 1 2025 morning, Lyon Part Dieu station to Paris is literally 1 min walk! So very convenient if you don’t want to be late for your onward journey. I got to Pullman from another hotel on an Uber, and there were still constructions and a pro tip to to take Taxi rather than Uber if you’ve luggages because Ubers aren’t allowed into the hotel zone. It’s only for bus and taxis. I wish Pullman had large signage’s to get to their hotel because the entrance is being blocked by the construction. The hotel should have a big Pullman on thier building on all sides like the Radisson Blu nearby it so that people can easily spot it. The front desk Marie was lovely! All those at reception and concierge spoke great English and were very helpful in helping me call for a taxi and giving me ideas on where to go for dinner on 31 Dec as I had not made any reservations. The hotel room is big and roomy, with lots of space for luggages. I got a room for handicap access so the shower and toilet areas were joined tgt. The rain shower was great in keeping the floor dry. I’ll def choose this hotel in future visits if I have an early train to catch in Lyon. It’s in good distance to Westfield shopping mall and it’s a mega big mall with heaps of shopping, dining, supermarket options!

Good check in and check out, some issues with the plug in the sink draining water slowllly and the air conditioner isn't adjustable but otherwise a good experience!

Checked in at midnight, the black guy at the front desk was not very skilled, and it took about 10 minutes to complete the process. The guy couldn't express himself fluently in English, and said a bunch of things, ”You need to pay in currency, because you will stay for 3 days, to prevent you from taking things from the hotel, you need to prepay 150 euros by credit card” The hotel facilities are good overall. The only thing is that the bathroom doesn't even have a door, and the bathroom floor is very slippery. The transportation is very convenient, there is a tram downstairs.

The family room for 3 people is quite small. The facilities are enough but the wardrobe is not spacious to hang the clothes of 3 people. Luckily, the hotel is clean and new at a convenient location to station. Staff of the restaurant is friendly and nice.

Very satisfactory room!!! Quite big, very clean, good hot water, and a super large TV. It was fun to watch YTB with friends on the screen. Very close to the train station, just one stop from Gare de Lyon, but the transportation in the city is not that convenient, and the bus and subway are a short walk away. But I am a leisurely stroller in the city, and it is enough to walk around outside for four or five hours, so I went back to the hotel to watch TV before it got dark. The station was beautiful under the sunset (p2 but I forgot the time to take the photo), and it was not noisy. If I come to Lyon again, I will come back!

It's next to the station, so it's very accessible. Four people shared one bed and one sofa bed. The room wasn't very spacious for the price, so if you use the sofa bed, there's no desk, so you have to eat takeout meals on the bed. But that didn't bother me. There was a kettle and cups. But no tissues or slippers. You can make coffee or tea on the first floor at any time, but when I tried to use it around 9pm, the coffee maker was turned off, and only water came out when I turned it on. I gave up and tried to make tea using hot water from the kettle, but it was water after all. There was a staff member at the front desk right in front of me, but he was chatting and didn't seem to mind. But the breakfast was better than the same Ibis Styles in CDG, and there was a wide variety. The staff also took good care of me. Overall, I was satisfied.

Close to the station and facilities are perfect. I stayed alone, but it is large enough to stay with two people. The hot water is also good. I wonder if there are not many shops around 〜 I was happy to soak in because there was a bathtub, but there is no shower curtain, so if you use the shower, the floor will get wet. The drainage of the bathtub was broken and I inserted a fork and drained it. It's an improvement point.

The scenery of Lyon is very beautiful, but the hotel discounted it. It may be the reason that the hotel is too cheap, or it may be that the level of the hotel in this city is the same, because another hotel where another friend stayed was also complained about. The only good thing is that there are several good restaurants around the hotel, and I went in to feel the night of Lyon. A few tens of meters from the hotel is the Rhone River and the old Catholic Hospital, and you can also overlook the old city.

It is best to give the map at the same time, as well as how to get to the hotel by public transport from the Central Railway Station, so that you can travel freely by train. In addition, the map given by the hotel is not very clear. In short, this hotel in Lyon is still good.
