Hôtel Maison Lacassagne Lyon

We arrived at 10:00 a.m. to drop off our bags and enjoy Lyon before our 3:00 p.m. check-in. The hotel, which is very beautiful and easily accessible from the city center by public transport, offers drinks in the lobby—a positive. However, when we returned at 3:00 p.m., the glasses we had used in the morning were still there, which demonstrates a certain lack of attention to service and cleanliness. Another surprising point: the accessible restrooms in the lobby were not stocked with towels at 10:00 a.m., and this had still not been corrected at 3:00 p.m. At check-in, our room was not yet ready. The wait was compensated with a complimentary drink (which was appreciated), but we were asked to wait in the garden... unfortunately, while the lawn was being mown. The noise of the lawnmower made this particularly unpleasant. It's surprising that such a service is scheduled after 3 p.m., when it could be performed between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., a time when there are no guests in the rooms. Another small oversight: the bottle of water that was supposed to be waiting for us in our room wasn't there. That being said, the staff was pleasant, and the garden is charming. It's easy to imagine how much a small pool or a wellness area (sauna/jacuzzi) would add to the overall comfort. Finally, a word about the breakfast: truly excellent. Varied, plentiful, and of very good quality. The only downside: the pastries would benefit from being served by a real artisan bakery.

Good. Clean and tidy, with complete facilities. It's a bit far from the subway station, but 4 minutes from the bus station. But overall it's acceptable, slippers and mineral water are provided
