A cocoon of a hotel, with magnificent views (if you're lucky to get a room with them, as we did, with an upgrade) across the city to the Alps. We loved the marble and chrome bathroom, the very comfortable bed, the impeccable service from all the staff, and the incredible 20m pool, perfect for doing laps while looking out over the garden. The hotel is up high, within walking distance of the basilica. We loved being there, but next time we would book a table at one of the excellent nearby restaurants, as the food service is limited, though good.

Nous avons passé un délicieux moment lors d'une escapade d'une nuit. L'accueil par le personnel est très attentionné et tout le monde est aux petits soins. La chambre est conforme à la qualité d'un 5 étoiles. Notre chambre avec balcon avait vue sur la ville. Petite touche originale: la cuvette des wc s'allume en pleine nuit, ce qui est bien utile. Le Spa est parfait: piscine splendide, jacuzzi, sauna et hammam. Les massages sont très professionnels.

Just spent 5 glorious days at the Villa Maïa in Lyon, and we could not have had a better time! The property is beautiful- situated on a hill overlooking the city with sweeping panoramic views of the Rhône and Old Lyon. What makes this hotel truly exceptional is not just the gorgeous architecture, modern furnishings, or superb spa and pool facilities… it is the staff! A big shout out to Raphael- who we interacted with a breakfast and throughout the hotel. Raphael is awesome!! We looked forward to seeing him everyday, he was great to talk to, super helpful, and just a lovely person. It is very evident that Raphael loves and takes pride in his work and is fantastic at what he does. Also would like to shout out Tatiana, Jorge, Leo, Charles, and Anais. It was so nice to see their smiling faces every day and they all ensured that we had a flawless stay. Thank you Villa Maïa, can’t wait to come back! (Just a technical note- because the hotel is situated on a hill, it can be a little difficult to access. If you want a little exercise, it is a 15-20 minute walk up and down. Can be a bit arduous but doable, and very necessary after enjoying some of the delicious Lyonnais cuisine for dinner. But for those less able, there is a funicular that goes back and forth up the hill for €3 and drops you off 3 minutes from the hotel. And taxis and Ubers are aplenty!)

Шикарный видовой отель. У нас. Ыл номер на верхнем этаже и вид на город был просто захватывающим. Расположен на горе, лучше иметь машину или пользоваться такси. Номера удобные и современные. При этом ключи от номера вы оставляете по старинке у портье. Ключ не электронный. Рядом древний театр, пешком 5 мин.

What a beautiful private place in Lyon. The team was professional friendly and genuinely dedicated to ensuring an enjoyable stay. Couldn't say enough good things about this place. The Spa and Pool Area is beautiful and very clean. Room was quiet with wonderful balconies with view of the city. We will definitely be back
