The location is excellent, next to the ancient city wall. Going up the path, you will see local houses, which are very distinctive. The hotel is within walking distance of the pedestrian street and attractions. The hygiene is very good, no odor. The breakfast is quite rich. Beautiful hotel which is well located and has view of the river. Staff write friendly and service was wonderful. Our only comll on ain’t was there was no air conditioning and it was difficult to sleep

The service attitude is very good, it is clean, hygienic and quiet. There are not many breakfast options, and no toiletries are provided. The curtains in the single bed room are outside the window, and you have to rotate the pull rod on the right to put them down. Overall, I am satisfied.

The hotel is by the river. The room is not big but it is enough. Most hotel rooms in Lucerne are not big anyway. Breakfast tastes pretty good and includes hot food.

Added 23 euros at the counter to upgrade to a room with a balcony facing the river.
Bed: The bedding is clean and hygienic, and the white quilt cover has a bumpy feel. It looks very pleasant to cover and is very comfortable. The mattress is firm and supportive, which is our favorite type;
Bathroom: relatively large, with wet and dry separation in the shower, and the toilet is clean;
Balcony: Go back to the room at night and sit on the balcony for a while, very comfortable and relaxing;
Front desk: The service staff is friendly and able to coordinate according to some of our requirements;
Overall very satisfied!

The only thing we enjoyed was the location. This hotel is far from boutique and for me did not match the images and description of it when I booked. It felt like a school dorm or old hospital turned accommodation. While our room size was good for a triple, it was very hostel like. We absolutely BAKED in the room with zero air conditioning it was cooler outside than in this oven. Everyone in the hotel was the same and a lot had their doors open to be able to get some air in the room from the hallway area! I went and asked what could be done and they gave us a 3rd floor fan. We slept with wet towels on our bodies as it was so bad. We could not wait to leave which is a shame as Lucerne is soooo beautiful!

Air conditioning is non existent. If you come here in the summer time prepare to be sleeping in sweat and sweltering heat. We stayed here just 2 nights and they were infact two sleepless nights due to the heat of the room. When we brought this issue up to the front desk, other guests were also complaining. The receptionist laughed this off and said that no hotels in Switzerland have air conditioning therefore all she could do was provide us with another small fan. There is obviously no immediate solution for this issue, but when I look back to find reviews from 8+ years ago complaining of the same problems it does frustrate me. If you know that you get hot summers, install air conditioning! Not to mention that this hotel claims to be a boutique, however has no decoration in rooms whatsoever. More of an institutional, hospital or university dorm like feel.
