The hotel is in the perfect location for visiting old Luxembourg. It's quite confusing to get to the hotel because the street is full of people making it look like a pedestrian zone. However, you can drive right up to the hotel. There is NO parking at the hotel in spite of what its website states. There is a city parking garage nearby but drop your bags off first as it's a maze walking to the hotel from there. When entering the parking garage you must be in the left lane. When driving out of the garage, be certain to pay for your parking before trying to drive out - pay at the kiosk near the exit. Our room was clean and functional but not memorable. Noise from the bars across the street got quite loud which meant we couldn't have the window open and with no AC it waa very hot, although there was a single floor fan. There is only a bathtub with a handheld shower - no curtain - so showering was not enjoyable. The restaurant will prepare breakfast if you pre-order. It closes at 8:30 pm but there are many other options. The location really does trump all the challenges.

Das Hotel befindet sich an einer ausserordentlich lauten Lage. Diverse Bars und Restaurants in direkter Nachbarschaft sind bis nach 3 Uhr in der Nacht geöffnet und der Partylärm hallt durch die Gassen. Morgens um 5 Uhr kommen dann die lauten Reinigungsfahrzeuge. Der Lärm ist trotz isolierter Fenster im Zimmer gut zu hören. Lüften ist unmöglich. Da das Hotel über keine Klimaanlage verfügt, war es im Zimmer sehr heiss und stickig.
Weiter ist das Hotel am Anfang der Fussgängerzone: Es ist nur erschwert (mit Schelte der lokalen Touristenführerin) möglich, zum Gepäckabladen direkt zuzufahren. Danach muss das Auto in einer teuren öffentlichen Parkgarage (ca. 5 Minuten Fussweg entfernt) parkiert werden (Tagespauschale 38 Euro). Der Service an der Recétion beschränkt sich auf das Ein- und Auschecken (also z.B. keinerlei Hilfe mit dem Gepäck). Die Hotelzimmer sind nur über einen engen Treppenaufgang erreichbar. Der Lift startet im ersten OG und erreicht nur vereinzelte Zimmer direkt.

The hotel itself is in a fantastic location and could not be better. However, what has forced me to take the time to write such a poor review was the rude and absolute dire service from the lady on reception. This was verging on being threatening and abusive and totally ruined my visit to Luxembourg City. I know that everywhere in Europe is suffering from over tourism which is perhaps encouraging contempt in the hospitality industry. However, this is a very expensive hotel (not a cheap hostel) so the owners should consider their position in employing Mademoiselle Fawlty. By contrast - the gentleman on reception was excellent, very professional and was a credit to the hotel. However, too late. Never again !.

Fantastic hotel with its own spirit. Not a boring hotel with small square rooms, instaed more like apartments with big rooms in an amazing building. Our kids shared one room where thre wete a small stair between the bedroom and a small room where they played games. The location is perfect, close to the resturants and shopping but also close ti the old town. I really recomend this place, one of the best hotels we have visited.
