Pros - Staff we encountered during our stay were very kind and helpful. The beds were comfortable though the pillows are half the normal size for some reason. Despite some louder neighbors, we could not hear them in our room which was impressive. Cons- Pool was closed. Room carpets are disgusting and other elements of the room have clearly been unkept for quite some time. No toilet paper holder. Tiny trash can in the room and no trash can in the hallway. We like to clean up after ourselves, but we were unable to because of nowhere to put our small amount of trash. I would choose a different place to stay next time. Any hospitality business could do a better job at keeping up with wear and tear on their facility.

Good transit hotel to Florida

Be sure to book Comfort Suites NOT INN. Very clean. staff very courteous and helpful. Check out room before unloading luggage. Some may have a “just cleaned” smell. Avoid 2nd floor unless you have a pet. Many with pets are booked on that floor. Nearby eateries are an Outback. weekends must have reservation. BEST eatery if you like Spanish/Mexican food is: El Zarameci De Antonio, exit 19, Carthage Rd. 2310 Capuano Rd, 910-802-4381 Go easy on your order. LOTS of FOOD. and VERY reasonable prices. Breakfast at Suite very nice and complete although the eggs need work. Add seasoning!! Better if they could do fried eggs.

The price is super cheap, and during the epidemic, breakfast is a fruit cake. But other hotels of the same brand have richer breakfasts. Self-driving friends must be aware that we almost turned into the retrograde line of the highway. 😄

Who could ask for more? We were greeted by LaTonya as soon as we entered; she completed the check-in quickly and efficiently. We asked for restaurants, and we were given many to choose from. Additionally, we asked for a couple extra things for the room and Rosa took care of us efficiently and cheerfully. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. This is our favorite place to stay as we travel back-and-forth to Florida each time.

Hotel is in a great area close to many amenities. The hotel itself was very clean and our room with 2 queen beds was nice. However, we were in the middle of a long road trip driving from Ontario, Canada to Florida. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the indoor pool advertised on the Hilton website and in the Hilton Honours app. When we checked in, I inquired about the pool hours and was told the pool was closed? Was not given a reason for the pool closure and had a very disappointed 10 year old. Also, the lady that served me at the check-in was not very friendly almost verging on rude with an attitude that suggested she didn’t really want to be at work that day. Lots of other hotels nearby so will be choosing a different one next time we are in the area.
