Relais Farinati is a perfect place to relax, unwind, and appreciate the surrounding natural beauty. Solange and Sybilla are wonderful, gracious hosts, and the staff are delightful, happy and efficient. The room and entire villa was spotless, and had great WiFi. The breakfast was wonderful; and the dinners (we ate dinner there each night of our 4 night stay) were delicious. Lunch is offered, but we opted for wine and olives and chips. We chose to read and relax, but other guests (only 9 rooms) enjoyed hiking. Indeed the road is challenging; rent a small car, proceed with care, you won’t regret it

This location was awesome, the grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The hotel was beautifully decorated. The staff were superb, they were very helpful and professional every time we dealt them. They were great at suggesting places to visit and dine. We ate dinner on the patio almost every night and enjoyed the beautiful view across the valley. I really appreciated we could bring our own wine to dinner without being charged or made to feel guilty for bringing it.

Truly an amazing experience! The staff was by far the friendliest Italians we meet on the entire trip . The food was outstanding and the view are heavenly !

Beautiful location with amazing views over Lucca and the surrounding valley. Fabulous friendly staff. Beautiful hotel with large, comfortable rooms and elegant, traditional Italian decoration. Delicious local food and wine. We enjoyed local walks and days out in Lucca and in the mountains nearby.

We would definitely come back again. The hotel was in the most beautiful situation overlooking Lucca. It was so very peaceful. And to have a swimming pool was an added bonus. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful property. Perfect balance of tranquility of the hotel on the mountain with lovely pool together with trips to Lucca and the breathtaking natural and historic beauty of Tuscany.

After some days in Lucca city we were excited to go up in the hills to Relais Farinati. Two sisters run the place with their 3 dogs and cat. It’s a 25 min drive from Lucca on a narrow road the last bit but it’s so worth it! Amazing view that never ceases to impress. After some coffee with cookies for breakfast in the city we were so glad to see a real breakfast with eggs, bread (even glutenfree), yoghurt, frukts and so on. The dinner was really nice with new menu every day, and they always found options for miss glutenfree. They make everything themselves and have local wine. Nice rooms with a view, fridge, AC etc. the pool was great, the house is stunning, nice walks uphill/downhill, and you can visit vineyards just down the road. We loved it here and will return for sure. Thanks to the sisters, the lovely dogs and cat ＜3

Beautiful place very relaxing with excellent view. Great service. Parking no very close to building ( if rainy day very uncomfortable). Road to the hotel very narrow. Had an incident going down and old gentleman coming up, he had to back up car for more than 100 meters and honestly he didn’t know how to back up car. Todo almost have and hour to be able to continue my way down. But other than that beautiful place
