Stayed here for one night on a week long trip in Italy and wished we stayed longer. Lovely villa in a lovely setting, with Lucca in the distance and the hills surrounding it. Staff were excellent in service and so helpful. Swimming pool was a lovely treat and the food in the restaurant was delicious, best food we had on our trip, special of seabass was excellent and everything was so fresh. Wine selection was also excellent.

C’è una forte dicotomia tra la camera ed il ristorante. Siamo stati ospiti lo scorso weekend. Abbiamo preso l’unica camera disponibile, a detta del personale, la migliore. Camera grande, recentemente restaurata. Improbabili arredi e disposizione dei mobili . Ma sui gusti glisso. Frigobar rotto. Applique del comodino rotta, muffa sotto il lavabo del bagno, luci d’emergenza intermittenti. Insonorizzazione tra là camera e attigue zone di servizio, inesistente. Non c’è altro da aggiungere. Nota positiva personale, cortese ed il ristorante dove si mangia veramente bene a prezzi onesti, cosa che non si può dire per la camera. Altro plus giardino con piscina. Tenuti molto bene

Hôtel dans une ancienne villa aux portes de Lucca Correct mais pas exceptionnel Chambres minimalistes décoration banale sans charme Les salles de bains sont petites et ont étés refaites du moins dans la chambre que nous occupions Petit déjeuner correct sous une véranda La piscine est grande c’est vraiment un point positif avec beaucoup de transats Nous y avons dormi une nuit pour une étape Par contre je n’y passerai pas une semaine

Im großen und ganzen, waren wir zufrieden. Besonders positiv fanden wir die tollen großen Badetücher und die Poolhandtücher. Das San Michele garantierte uns ab Mai, dass der Pool offen wäre. Die Wassertemperatur bestätigte dies als richtig. Wir vermuten 21 Grad. Nicht so perfekt waren folgende Punkte: Ablagefläche im Bad fehlt fast ganz. Wir würden uns beim Frühstück mehr Auswahl wünschen, z.B. mehr frisches Obst nach Saison, mehr Variation und Qualität bei Wurst, Schinken und Käse. Die Extra-Kosten beim Frühstück wurden uns bei der Bestellung leider nicht mitgeteilt. Auf Nachfrage gab es keine weichgekochten Eier. Zu wenig Personal, zu wenig Zeit! Die Brötchen waren nicht ausreichend bis zum Schluss. Der Tresor im Zimmer ist das No Go. Viel zu hoch angebracht und nicht für kleinere Menschen nutzbar. Mehrere Gäste brachten ihre Räder mit. Das Hotel hat eigene. Fahrradständer existieren dennoch nicht. Gute, fest montierte Fahrradständer oder eine Extra-Unterbringung wäre für heutige hochwertige Räder wünschenswert. Die Damentoilette beim Restaurant war während des Aufenthalts permanent außer Betrieb. Die Betten waren leider unbequem hart. Wir haben um Abhilfe gebeten, z.B durch einen Topper - vergeblich.

We stayed 4 nights at this gorgeous little hotel just outside the centre of Lucca. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Our room was lovely with a gorgeous view of the Tuscan hills. The absolute highlight of this hotel though is its restaurant. Some of the best food we had, we were spoilt. It has a great pool with comfy sun loungers - in such a peaceful setting. The grounds are very well maintained. We hired a car for our trip and I would say it is a must, to save on costly taxis in and out of the centre of Lucca. Thank you for such an amazing stay, our first adults only getaway for 5 years - we enjoyed every second!

The Hotel located just on the edge of Lucca was excellent. We had a balcony room with fantastic views over Lucca. The restaurant was also very good. However, the most important aspect of our stay were the staff all of whom were very friendly and helpful.

lovely hotel, perfectly located within a short drive of Lucca and Pisa. We had a lovely comfortable room and enjoyed dining at the restaurant in the evening. Breakfast was plentiful with many choices. The staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights, the perfect end to our road trip of Tiscany.

We found this very affordable villa by accident and were thrilled when we did. The architecture was regal yet comfortable and was 600 years old. Our room overlooked the countryside and was so restful. Dinner was fabulous and the parmesan/mushroom was the best soup I have ever tasted. The staff throughout were like family and there is not one thing to fault. Both the outside grounds and the Villa itself were beautiful.
