We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. Our room had a narrow balcony, which was lovely to sit out on with a glass of wine overlooking the garden. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served to us from a wide buffet selection and we found a lovely spot to sit outside. Location was great, just outside the city walls. The host, Luca, is very kind and helpful and even picked us up from the station and dropped us back.

Thus B&B is very well run. The room was dpacious, modern and clean. Luca was very professional and helpful, picking us up from the train station, providing us with information on restaurants and how to get around, The b&b is a 4 minute walk to the nain square, great location. We would definitely stay here again.

Great B&B within a short walk to The city wall of Lucca. I had a nice room on the second floor, bed was very comfortable & room was very clean. Free parking was provided in a secure area and the security for the B&B was excellent. The owner who’s name is also Luca was extremely hospitable and gave us all kinds of information. He also served a nice breakfast. I would definitely stay here again

The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the sunny garden is exceptional. But the greatest thing about Villa San Donato is the host, Luca. He was incredibly helpful from the moment we contacted him about booking a room. He even helped us out on our last day and dropped us to the train station as some roads were closed due to a concert. The villa is a short walk from the city walls and extremely quiet and peaceful. Great value, would highly recommend!

Out of all the places we stayed in Italy, we enjoyed Lucca in Villa San Donato the most. The location is perfect - just outside the wall, easy walking distance to historic center of town. The house is really cute, with interesting and unique decorations. Breakfast is great, particularly when enjoyed in the lovely gardens. The host, Luca, is very accommodating, and goes out of his way to be helpful (including picking us up at the train station at an inconvenient time after our car broke down and we arrived late). The rooms are small, but comfortable. We were initially concerned it might be noisy at night because the rooms overlook the street, but it was very quiet. Highly recommend!

Luca is the owner of this boutique hotel and is a perfect host! He picked us up and dropped us off at the train station and helped us with tourist information as needed. Breakfast was full of everything you can imagine. I loved that the hotel is just beyond the walled area, so as you walk home at night after dinner, you experience the lights that surround the walls.
I will definitely return here and send my friends.

Amazing b&b and super host with Luca. Everything was perfect we had a great stay. Luca was so helpful with recommendations. And great breakfast every morning. Perfect location to be a little outside the walls. Will definitely be back one day soon!
