Grand Hôtel Moderne

The Grand Hotel Moderne is a lovely hotel and spotlessly clean. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was excellent, and the beds very comfortable. The reception staff are all very helpful, especially Simone, who helped us when the French Air Traffic Controllers called a strike on our last evening and all flights out were cancelled. The hotels location is excellent, and only a few minutes walk to the Lourdes Basilica and Grotto. Thank you Grand Hotel Moderne!

Grand Hotel Moderne is our choice of Hotel in Lourdes. We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the years. The hotel is located very close to the Sanctuary, and everything is within walking distance. The hotel is very clean; the rooms are comfortable and elegant. The big bonus of his hotel is the wonderful staff who are professional and so helpful. Our first point of contact is Valarie who is helpful with all our bookings and ensures we get our choice of room type and arranges our airport transfers. She is so efficient and makes the whole process seamless. We must also pay special mention to Simone in reception who makes us feel so welcome and always meets and greats us with a smile. Dining at Grand Hotel Moderne is excellent. “La Majorelle” Restaurant serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We always book half board. Breakfast is self-service and is plentiful with a great variety of both hot and cold items. The food at dinner is well-presented, the quality is excellent and delicious. There is an “A la Carte” menu and a set menu. Thierry who we meet in La Majorelle Restaurant and who we now know for a number of years, is courteous and extends exceptional customer service, and on each of our visits he remembers our special request and ensures he arranges everything as we require. We meet his colleague Joelle at breakfast and Joelle is also so accommodating and attentive. We highly recommend this hotel.
