First issue was valet – only option, busy hotel, no one around immediately. It became obvious there was a wedding on. The reception is on a different floor one up, so needed to go in a lift with luggage. Check in busy due to influx of wedding guests. Check in easy once there and our room on 11th floor. We booked table after checking in the Lobby Bar & Grill ie it’s in the lobby area. The food was very good I had a mushroom risotto although not called that, husband had duck, oh and salad to start and crab. The problem was it was very noisy due to the wedding party, there may have been two as the lot we first encountered were going to the roof and these were all on 3rd floor. They quietened down presumably when food arrived. The other issue was the pianist, obviously very good but so loud, literally banging out the tunes. Not sure if he was making a point that the crowd was noisy but it was annoying. On leaving the table we went for a little wander up and down the lobby area and came across room called ‘The English Grill’ there were a few people in there and tables set for meals. I had originally seen this on line as one of restaurants then later found other names so assumed names changed, it transpires it is an option and more importantly quieter. Not offered to us, it may have been full of course but hey will never know. This is a very nice old Hotel very ornate structure and adornments, nice room, antique furnishings. We had a little wander around the area with no problems, couple of intersting buildings and murals.
