Marquis Los Cabos, an All - Inclusive, Adults - Only & No Timeshare Resort

The hotel is really nice but rooms can be more clean and there could be a better range of activity.

A great resort to relax, swim and eat and have fun. A great spot on the waters edge with several pools, delicious restaurants, and nightly entertainment.

We recently stayed at Marquis Los Cabos, drawn by its strong reputation for luxury and relaxation. While the property itself is undeniably beautiful and the food was excellent, with outstanding service from the pool and restaurant staff, our overall experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a number of serious issues. Our check-in experience set the tone for our stay, with unprofessional and unhelpful service from the front desk representative, Liania Rivera. Attempts to resolve our concerns with the Concierge team, particularly Norma Gomez, were met with little understanding or support. While the front desk team eventually addressed our complaints, we lost several hours of our vacation waiting in our room for resolutions. The room we were given was not up to the standard one would expect from a luxury resort. The bathtub was visibly dirty, the refrigerator didn’t function, and the in-room safe was broken. Additionally, when we turned on the air conditioning, a strong and unpleasant paint smell filled the room. Maintenance confirmed it was due to nearby painting and reassured us it was harmless, but the odor made it difficult to rest comfortably. As a gesture of goodwill, we were offered complimentary access to the spa facilities. Unfortunately, this too was disappointing. There were no staff present during our visit to assist or oversee the facilities, which felt poorly maintained and unsupervised. We left after only 20 minutes. More concerning, after our visit to the spa, both my husband and I developed rashes. His symptoms worsened to include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that lasted for two days. This not only disrupted our stay but completely ruined our final night at the resort. After returning home, we shared our detailed feedback with the hotel, hoping for a response or acknowledgment. It has now been over eight days, and we have yet to receive any reply or follow-up. This lack of responsiveness only adds to our disappointment. We chose Marquis Los Cabos expecting a high-end, relaxing experience. While there were bright spots—particularly the food and attentive poolside service—these were not enough to offset the poor room conditions, inadequate customer service, lack of spa oversight, and health-related issues we encountered. We left deeply disappointed and, unfortunately, unable to recommend the resort based on our experience.

This was our first all inclusive stay at a resort, so we don’t have much to compare to. The resort was great and the staff always made sure that we had everything we needed. The cocktails seemed like they were poured light, but I’ve heard that’s a common theme at all inclusive resorts. Food was great and the different themed restaurants helped change the pace each evening. We would definitely go back!
