Romantic Hotels in London

CitizenM never disappoints in my experience. Speedy check-in and out, gorgeous views from the rooms, great technology at your fingertips to manage your stay. The only caveat would be the price of the rooms even if it was in London.

The appearance of the hotel is very similar to a boat. The front desk will give you hot towel when checking in. The service is in place. The decoration of the hotel is also very new. I know that a welcome gift is prepared in advance on the anniversary. The details service can be.

My son and I chose this Grand Scottish Hotel after comparing many hotels. We made the right choice. The hotel is in a great location, with dining, shopping, convenience stores, bars, tourist attractions, and it is convenient to go anywhere. The Nigerian Embassy should be a few meters away from the hotel. Every day There are long queues. We usually go out on foot and go back to the hotel to rest and adjust before going out for sightseeing. Haha, this is the advantage of a convenient location! The hotel style is a combination of modern and European. The room is not big, but the details are very good. For me, who is a hotel control, it can satisfy me. The same room type has different sizes. My son's 127 on the first floor is larger than our 201 on the second floor, and the bathroom is dry. Wet partition, excellent! We booked the room without breakfast. We received a deposit of 100 pounds per room per day when we checked in. We paid for breakfast. As a result, the front desk charged more than 90 pounds more when we chicked out. I didn't hear him explain clearly at the time. We planned to end our trip to Edinburgh. When I returned to London, I stayed at the Great Scotland. At that time, I went to the front desk to discuss the matter and did some translation preparations on Google. Haha, in short, it was worth it to get this kind of stay experience at this price!

This hotel is very clean and well located. The second time I stayed at this hotel, the last time I was on a business trip a few years ago, the company booked on the extranet platform, and the stay was good. This is a personal trip, but there are some different experiences. The room is divided into five stalls. Because of the 28-inch suitcase, I don't want to live in such a crowded place. I set a club room in the middle stall (32 square meters). Open the door of the room and enter the bedroom through the narrow aisle. It can basically reach the standard of ”go to bed when you enter the house”. The luggage can just be unfolded, but it is stuck between the wall and the bed after expansion. There is no walking space. To go to the bathroom requires a large Jumped over. A small window, the scenery outside is moving, strange pipes accompanied by the low noise of the machine. The contact hotel was told that there was no room to change, and that the room was full (obviously there were plenty of rooms on the night of each booking platform), and contacted Ctrip, saying that ”the hotel has been contacted, the room type is correct, as for the noise, there is no way out of room,” If you are afraid of noisy, please keep the windows closed ”... I booked a room with breakfast and welcome fruit, but the hotel said that Ctrip did not inform, so no fruit without breakfast. After contacting, the hotel even said ”Give me breakfast for you.” The price at the time of booking is obviously early. Why give it away? As a Ctrip Diamond member for many years, I do feel some discomfort. Do I have to choose an overseas platform channel to ”please stay” when I book an overseas hotel?

This was our second night at this hotel as we had enjoyed our visit so much we stayed longer than originally planned. All was good, as previously reviewed, except that on this occasion we had little sleep due to constant noise from outside the hotel which went on until it was almost morning. It was a Friday night though, so probably to be expected given the hotel’s location. We should have taken earplugs! We would certainly stay here again, but maybe not at the weekend.

The service is good. I asked in advance not to arrange a basement. All arrangements were made and the attitude was good. Although there is no breakfast, complete tea and fruit are also provided for self-service. The room is small, but this is normal in London. It will be difficult to spread out the suitcases, but it is enough for just one or two nights. The bathroom is big, which beats many hotels in the same price range. You can also check your luggage for free. The environment outside the hotel is also good.

This is a boutique hotel experience with a pub on the main level and rooms just above and next to it. We stayed about 3-4 nights here Feb 2024 from Las Vegas, NV and our room was compact, but cozy enough for two people. The room had a tea set up, comfortable bed with a super warm duvet, en suite shower, and bathroom.The employees are what made this stay great honestly. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to the point where one afternoon we just hung out in the pub chatting with them and taking drink recommendations. Everything was seamless from check in, to them bringing food up to the room from the pub, to housekeeping. We never went without fresh towels or bottles of water. They also do offer hotel guests a discount at the pub so do take advantage of that as well. It was very charming with a neighborhood local pub feel where everyone is friendly. Under 15 min walk from the tube station and there’s a mini mall just ten minutes walking that has a large market, ikea, Primark etc. Then one street over is several food options, thrift stores, and more stores to shop at. Will definitely stay again the next time we’re in London.

The hotel is very historical and the overall decoration is also very good, but the room does not have any hot water or coffee machine, which is very inconvenient. The porter at the front desk is very friendly, but the gentleman who checked in is very disappointing The hotel is a high-end hotel, the location is very good, the hotel has a famous bar and restaurant The cleaning of the room is also not in place. Either there is no toilet paper, or the bottom mat of the shower is forgotten. All in all, it feels that the management is not good

I had a junior suite for one night. Room was OK for london, rectangle-shaped with reasonable sized bedroom, small sitting room and between the two an area with sink opposite loo stall and shower stall. Quite imaginative design of the 3 areas which on entering felt weird but after a while worked well. Decor was very dark, which looks nice but some lighter relief would give more impression of space, especialy as you feel you have to close the curtains as the window is right on the street. Girl on reception was very good, and when the safe didn't work was quick to try help then arrange the maintenance man to fix it within 20 minutes. Didn't have breakfast, but the free supply of coffee in the lounge was welcome (also coffee-maker and kettle in the room). All good so far, now the drawbacks. The bed was not a king (i.e. 6ft wide) it was a queen. The website says King - naughty. The main problem was noise. The floor is wood-effect laminate. Very attractive but noisy walking on with shoes/heels. VERY noisy when it's someone upstairs. The room is right by the pavement oppsite a rather dingy-looking park. At about 11pm the ”locals” decided to gather across the road for a smoke and a chat, and the sound carries right into the room. So your ability to sleep is dependant on the people upstairs and the impromptu gatherings outside - not good. I emailed prior asking for a high floor but was told all the junior suites are on the ground floor. So, would I stay again? Possibly for 1 night if I need to be close to St Pancs, I'd be looking at a different room type on a higher floor, top floor would be ideal. Wouldn't want anything smaller than the junior suite so it's going to end up pricey I think.

I have stayed here a few times and it’s always a lovely experience. Usually the employees at the front desk are the most smiley, but everyone else keeps to themselves. When at breakfast, there was always a gentleman that everyday I would notice was smiling at everyone, making sure they were taken care of. Walking by? Smiling. Helping someone ? Smiling. Leaning up a table, smiling. He had the most lovely and inviting demeanor and made guests feel welcome in a new country. Thankful for him.
