ABC Hyde Park Hotel Reviews

For a budget hotel Nea centre of London this does the job however we chose it for the second time because of optional breakfast! It was still advertised on here for £5 per person for small buffet which we had a year ago but now they’ve stopped doing it, so it’s just like any other budget hotel, nothing special . Below is my son on his single bed, we had a small room which was smaller than the one we had last time.

Hotel location is excellent, room was clean and overall was okay for a 3 star hotel. Staff is friendly and definitely recommended for a short stay when travelling around London if budget is tight. One thing that may be improved is that there is no complimentary mineral water provided.

I got heavy luggage and when arrived receptionist offered no assistance so I carried my luggage upstairs myself. Doesn't have lift. Staff is cold, window in the room was locked and no aircon so the air is really bad. Room is small. Don't recommend.

Not even a towl in the room

I would give the hotel less than 3 stars if not for the wonderful staff at the hotel who watched our bags for us and were overall, incredibly friendly and helpful. The room is extremely basic. I’ve stayed in similar price points and this is by far the worst. No AC made the stay impossible. I thought they’d at least have a fan, but I was mistaken. The bed-side table had rust from the lamp sitting on it. God knows when it was cleaned. The windows didn’t stay open and the shower overflowed. The noise from the other guests (they can do what they want, may I add) woke us up numerous times throughout the night as the rooms are right on the staircase. At the risk of sounding pretentious, I’d like to reiterate that the staff and the location are wonderful. Would not stay again. There’s far better rooms for the same price elsewhere.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Also we had a good service at the phone conversations.

Everything is average, the bathroom is small, it is difficult to turn around, the corridor is narrow, it is difficult to go upstairs with large luggage, the sound insulation is average, the location is next to Hyde Park, it is OK. Hotels near Hyde Park are more expensive, if you have a limited budget and spend a long time outside, you can choose this one.

This is the first time in my life that I have stayed in such a bad hotel. I really feel lucky to be able to survive. I complained on the first night. The suitcases could not be opened. The facilities and equipment were poor. The environment was bad. The key was that the room was too small to walk in, and there was no room hotline. The front desk and the room are in two buildings. You have to ring the doorbell every time you enter the building. You can see the specific environment in the picture. Real and unedited. The most disgusting thing is that I booked three times separately, a single bed, a double bed and a single bed, for a total of four nights. When I checked in, I communicated with them not to change the room for me. I need to stay in the same room. As a result, I returned to the hotel at more than ten o'clock the next night, and all my things and luggage told to me had been moved to another room by them without any notice. I started to communicate with the front desk. The manager was on the remote phone, but he didn't apologize and was very arrogant. He said that I would be in a single room tomorrow (the third and fourth days) and would move me out directly without notifying me at all. I called the Ctrip hotline from 11 o'clock local time to 4 o'clock in the morning, requesting to close this hotel for three nights. The xc hotline told me that they had to wait for the domestic office to go to work, and then told me that they had to wait for the UK office to go to work. Finally, everyone went to work and told me that one night had passed and they could only compensate for 2 nights, and they had to deduct the hundreds of dollars I had compensated before. I just want to ask, doesn't xc worry about the customer calling the police at 11 o'clock at night? I have been complaining but it has not been handled. I dare not sleep in the room alone late at night, fearing that someone will come in. It seems that breaking in here is "normal"! We are still platinum customers. Is this how Ctrip supervises... What should I do if something really happens! I suggest that everyone should never stay here. Ctrip has many pitfalls, so be careful.

I'm speechless that a B&B in the UK is run like this. The room is extremely small, and there is not even a small table. If you want to do some work, you have to carry your computer with you. The sound insulation is very poor, and there are vehicles on the road outside the window all night long. The bedding looks not only old, but also dirty. I dare not use the towels at all. The cups in the bathroom are covered with a thick layer of scale

Very bad, nothing, not cheap price does not include breakfast, outdated facilities
