If I could give zero stars I would. My trip was actually supposed to be August 2020, as the first lockdown lifted. I was told that my booking had been cancelled due to renovations, (if you are looking at these reviews you will see a recurring pattern.) I went in circles for months being told a different story every time about why I hadn’t received my refund. It became incredibly frustrating, and upsetting. In the end I told them that I would get my money back using the chargeback scheme. The lady gloated that I couldn’t do that, and proceeded to tell me why. I simply told her that if my money wasn’t back in my account that day, I would have no choice but have to contact my bank. She seemed worried and tried to convince me not to. I did indeed contact my bank and I got my money back. The hotel have no intention of honouring a service and they definitely have no intention of giving refunds. Originally, I had been to angry and couldn’t put my anger into words, but seeing all of these reviews, I recognise how important it is that we paint a picture of the experience we receive.
