Unfortunately the heating appeared to be broken. It got very cold overnight, as low as 15 degrees in our room. We were travelling with a baby and it was too cold for them to sleep in the cot which meant we had to have him in the bed with us and co-sleeping carries safety risks for young babies so this was not ideal. Although the hosts eventually offered to send a security person to look at the heating, it was late evening by then, i was out with some friends, and my mum did not want a stranger coming into the apartment when she was alone with the baby at night time. Given it is winter time the hosts really should have made sure the heating was working properly before our check in time. Also, the door to the washing machine is half fallen off- it could be a safety risk to a baby if it fell off when they were crawling about. The plug in the ensuite sink does not work and overall the apartment is not well maintained. It is in need of a cosmetic refresh

The apartment is gorgeous, and the location convenient and fun, and the staff response quick and friendly. However, we had major problems that made our trip quite stressful. A boiler or water heater was set at the highest level, leaving the master bedroom at 80+ deg. F all night--we had to open the window to sleep, leaving us with street noise over the New Year. The washer/dryer was locked closed and the handle partially broken--thankfully, we figured out how to open it with a kitchen knife or we'd have been unable to wash our clothes before the next leg of our trip. We were issued two keys, which we assumed were two sets for the front door--but which was only -one- set for two different locks. This meant half our party got locked out our first day. A previous tenant had somehow locked one of the other windows open--COVE staff made a big effort to repair it, but it was another stressor. The house had no instruction manuals or guidance for any of the appliances--which would have been less of an issue if the apartment had standard settings that the staff knew to return it to before new guests arrived (or if staff was on-site 24/7, which is not possible at this location). It felt like it was on us to figure out how to make the house livable with no tools, no manuals, and no idea how the very complicated heating/cooling system worked. I loved the location but I would not stay here again--it was simply too much trouble, especially for the price.

Yes, this is pricey accommodation but it is incredibly comfortable, clean, warm and close to everything. Well worth the cost.

The location was amazing, I loved everything. It was cozy and we all felt like home, especially my 5 year old son. Super recommended for families. Everything within walking distance.
