Inhabit Queen’s Gardens

This is a dishonest hotel. We booked two rooms with windows 13 days before our arrival and paid in full to secure them. However, upon check-in, we were assigned a basement room with a door that wouldn't open, revealing light streaming through the atrium. The room was cold and damp, but we were lucky to be able to stay there thanks to the high temperatures in London on arrival. Had it been winter, it would have been unimaginable. When we reported this to the front desk, they said it wasn't the room we'd reserved and locked in, and they replied, "There are no other rooms available." So, who were we assigned to? What was the point of having paid in full upfront to secure the room? Reviews say this hotel often places people of color in the basement, and that seems to be true. Regarding the service, every staff member we encountered was expressionless, even ignoring us. The room was incredibly small, with every piece of furniture and utensils miniscule. The sink was the size of a fish frying pan, and washing your face in the bathroom caused a lot of splashing. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I highly recommend it.
