Hampton by Hilton Hotels in London

First off, the location is absolutely fantastic and incredibly easy to find. Most people arrive via Waterloo Underground station. After exiting, look for Exit 2 (right next to M&S). Take the escalator down, turn right, walk straight across the road for about 200 meters, and the hotel will be on your left. Big Ben and the London Eye are just a very short walk away – you can even see the London Eye from the windows! 💝Transportation: Waterloo Tube station is right there, offering effortless access to anywhere you want to go. The real highlight, though, is the extensive and affordable bus network. You can practically reach any attraction from the bus stops directly outside the hotel. Bus 188 goes east to Greenwich Observatory (passing Tower Bridge) and west to the British Museum area (Chinatown is also very close). Bus 139 takes you to Oxford Street, Bus 148 to Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, and Bus 360 to the Natural History Museum. Just remember to check the bus stand letter when boarding, as stops with the same name are often designated by different letters. 💝Food: Food options abound! You're spoiled for choice with Thai, kebab, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Pret, Tesco, and more. The fish and chips next to 'Wine Food' directly opposite the hotel are super cheap, and the Lebanese kebab place nearby is also very affordable. Places on Old Vic Street tend to be a bit pricier. It really depends on your personal preference and budget! 💝Breakfast: Haha, the classic, unchanging English breakfast! Don't dismiss it; it's seriously substantial and filling. Honestly, I stayed for 10 days and couldn't get enough of it! 💝Room: A standard twin-bedded room. It's a bit dated but perfectly clean. (Given London's prices, I found this location and the room perfectly reasonable). It would be even better if the front desk staff could smile a bit more!

The hotel offered basic and clean accommodation for a fair price. Breakfast was included and offered decent choice. Our only issue was that one of the rooms was next to the lift, so we immediately asked the staff at reception to change it and he said the hotel was fully booked. Asked us to wait and was happy to welcome and check-in new arriving guests and answer their questions, while we were left waiting for a room change that we never got… not sure what was the point of the wait. He had been unhelpful at check-in anyway and seemed very inexperienced, so we ended up having a poor nights sleep because of the noise of the lift. We booked 2 rooms for the same rate, but the one next to the lift should definitely be cheaper.

Service: You'll need to bring your own slippers. Drinking water, toothbrushes, and toothpaste are available at the front desk upon request. Note that the front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but communication via text translation is possible. Cleanliness: Excellent. Linens were changed promptly. Location: Extremely close to the subway station! Other: While the king-size bed in the King Room is large, the overall room space isn't much bigger than a Queen Room. For solo travelers, I'd suggest booking the Queen Room instead. Breakfast: The breakfast was delicious.

Lovely, clean rooms. Spacious beds in twin room, with fresh, white linen. Lack of amenities. No slippers provided in room. Picked up at reception the morning after check in. No vanity kit or bottled water provided. Staff appeared very busy, not particularly friendly. Quite unwelcoming towards children. Did not treat my son politely...! Staff seemed uncomfortable around older children...

The hotel looked very nice and stated in the art. the food was amazing and was cooked perfectly but a little overpriced, but we did have free breakfast included within the booking as complimentary, breakfast was awesome & i would recommend the scrambled eggs were to die for and the waffle you can get was cooked so soft and fluffy, 100% try the waffle!, staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with mostly all and some even went above & beyond to serve, can't fault any of the staff as all were friendly & respectful 😊, in all would go again and would highly recommend your stay here.

The Indian woman at the front desk is very impolite. She can't understand English at all, and she looks like we can't understand English. Practice your oral skills more. I'm in England, not in India. You're here to work, not to be a boss, and you don't know what you're arrogant about. And she was not wearing work clothes. When we came in, we thought it was not a hotel but a restaurant. We had travelled to many countries and stayed in Hilton hotels. We had never been treated like this. We felt offended.
