I never write or even read reviews, I travel for work and will happily forgo a more expensive hotel to book myself cheap b&bs as they're usually lovely, I figured it was cheap and cheerful but honestly this place is vile. I genuinely considered walking out and trying one of the other hotels but figured I only needed a bed and wifi to get some work done, I'd be there for less than 12 hours so I can deal with it. The bed is disgusting, the carpet is sticky snd covered in stains as are the pillows, the window in my room is falling out with the frame so rotted the draft was blowing the voile netting (not real curtains) and the smell...it's just awful. I paid 40 quid but still feel ripped off, I don't know how it stays in business and it's honestly such a shame as it's prime location. I've stayed at the hotel next door and a couple of others which were fine but if this was my first experience of the area I'd never bother going back. It needs taking over and deep cleaned.

Very poor quality. Health and safety fire doors all propped open with a wedge. Plug sockets hanging out, light fitting with cables exposed. Damp, mould, cracked tiles, thread bare carpet hanging off stairs with gripper rod exposed.

Stayed overnight wish we hadn't, bed was small very uncomfortable, room was freezing as there was a draught coming through door and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting floor tiles cracked shower cubicle mouldy and for the drain I'm sure something was living in it as it stunk I had to pour boiling hot water down it, cups had cracks in stair carpet coming away from stairs death trap terrible hotel I'm afraid to say

Ok I'll start with the positives. Having learned lessons from previous beachfront hotels, having a sea view is a must. We had room 102 which was spacious with an amazing view. There was good WiFi and the staff were friendly. I arrived early and was allowed to leave my bag until 3pm. The hotel is very very tired. The carpet is threadbare and the decor is tatty and grubby. Our bathroom was clean but not spotless. The shower was excellent so no complaints there. We didn't bother with breakfast. Be aware that when we checked in there was some very unhappy guests who got to their room and came straight back down saying it was filfthy and had no lights working. The man at reception told them to fill out a form for the manager to review...this attitude was not helpful and we thanked our lucky stars our room was ok. The location is brilliant but the hotel needs some serious TLC

I have never stayed anywhere quite like this and never want to again! The bathroom was dirty, no plug in the sink, knees touched the wash basin when you sat down. The shower had a trickle of water! The breakfast left something to be desired! The scrambled eggs were like a gristle texture. This hotel is so worn and weary, I cannot believe it’s still in business, especially after reading some of these reviews!!

This hotel is disgusting. They charged over £70 per night and there is no 5 star food hygiene rating it is a 1 so obviously didn't eat there. The rooms were very unpleasant, radiator hanging off the wall which is dangerous, Toilet was placed in front of the sink so you could touch it from the toilet. Okay if you have sickness and diarrhoea I guess! Black mold in the bath and shower area, no stopper in the plug, broken toilet seat and fire extinguisher on the floor by the fire exit. Total disgrace health and safety concerns definitely
