I do not understand why people are so rude with their reviews. Do not forget that THE EVANS is only a 2 star hotel. We have been going to the Evans for years and never had a bad word for any of the staff or the hotel. Sadly we have been told that the hotel is now closed and we will not be able to go next year. All our love and best to everyone for your kindness and attention. We will all miss you all loads. Lots of Love from Sonia and Joe Ramsden. Fingers crossed you may soon be back to normal. xxx

My wife and I have stayed at The Evans Hotel many times in the last 12yrs. We have always found the food excellent and serving staff very friendly but efficient in every way, no request is to much to ask. Peter and Julie who are the management of the hotel, are both very friendly, but as to be expected, are firm with awkward customers, which every hotel gets from time to time. The entertainment is always good as the nightly bingo session for cash prizes is. We can't fault the service or prices at the bar or from the table waiting staff. As far as the rooms are concerned, remembering that this is a budget hotel, they are more than adequate with TV, on suite bathroom and shower, coffee/tea making facilities with biscuits. To conclude, The Evans Hotel is a typical Llandudno family run budget hotel, clean friendly with great food and entertainment, and if anyone says differently, they are just moaners or put up by rival hotels to diss The Evans Hotel.

First of all, what a rude and miserable hotel owner/ manager?? Lacking a personality and social skills! On arrival we were “greeted” by snappy miserable woman directing us in a line up , keep to the left!! to a tiny lift , our bags were brought to outside our rooms. Only 2 star dated hotel but the room was ok and the bed was clean. The banging of a gong for meals was hilarious tho , I never want to hear it again 830 sharp for breakfast . You could have a fruit juice or a cereal but not together, served in tiny glasses with tiny cups for tea/ coffee. The cooked breakfast was Welsh😁 Had to ask for water where it surely had to be a sarcastic response from the waitress when she returned with a large plastic glass or should I say vase ( without the flowers 😂) You had to give your 630 evening meal choice at breakfast. The meals were mostly ok & a selection of desserts . There was a bubbly waitress serving other tables , we had someone else! No sign of the owner in the dining room or checking on the guests. I got a couple of ignorant responses from him regarding disabled loo☹️The setup in the bar area was quite ridiculous, put a flag in the vase to attract bar staff who couldn’t see us as the bar was out of view, plus cash only ! Where’s the nearest cash point?! Don’t forget to take the flag out when you get your drinks😁 The set up reminded me of Fawlty Towers but it wasn’t funny. However Llandudno was lovely but unlikely to return and certainly not to this establishment, where the owner didn’t have the courtesy to say goodbye , tho I think that was a good thing as I didn’t want to see him again!

Our second time stopping at Evans Hotel, my sister and I loved every moment. Excellent food and plenty of choice, with friendly table service (special mention for Selena) and a real family-run feel to the place. A very high standard of entertainment every evening - even if the weather is not good, you come home feeling you’ve had a holiday. The hotel is centrally located with plenty to do within a very short walking distance. Especially good for seniors or those with limited mobility.

Went on a turkey and tinsel coach holiday with edwards, can't fault Robert the driver he was amazing and so helpful. But the hotel manager has no people skills whatsoever,I really think he is in the wrong business,no empathy or social skills reluctantly calls bingo if there are enough people, swears in reception where guests can hear. Older lady with two tone hair also rude and sarcastic saying she hadn't rung the gong yet that shows that the dining room is open made one of our friends upset with her brusque manner, both people are rude, miserable and grumpy. Good food complements to the chefs as I understand there are two of them. Also mention to selina if she ever leaves they will be completely lost as she is smiley, hard working friendly ,the opposite to the two above. On Christmas day with the t and t days she served breakfast ,light lunch, then back for afternoon tea then had to return for the evening meal ,said she got to be home for about two hours all day,try to get out please ,anyone would be lucky to have you.,they don't deserve you! Room tiny ,dated ,pathetic tiny sink cleaners very good and hardworking, but would definitely not recommend staying here. Cash only at the bar, probably a tax scam and entertainment ok,amazing last night Morgan Reeves you are a star ,lady singer the night before toni Lee Curtis was awful poster showed her years younger ,sang two songs and promptly packed up and left
